Have we satisfied the Rooney Rule?
TheCasillas replied to Cam's New Arm's topic in Carolina Panthers
You get a comp pick for hiring a minority to a HC or FO position as well. -
thats not how it works. You cant say poo like this: then persecute people because they dont agree with you. Then pivot because your original statement was made up. That's not how adults converse or debate. I've already answered your questions about Williams and Mayes. It's too early to state they will be the top QBs of the NFL draft.
-
neither one of those articles compared Maye or Williams to Luck or Lawrence....
-
It's pretty fuged. Im about to watch his post game presser now.
-
ah got you. Did not follow the context of you quoting me.
-
Jinx.
-
Just bc you did this to @UNCrules2187 show me any Scout, Analysts or media head that says this....
-
Ask me next year at this exact time. A couple seasons ago i would have been pissed if the saints, falcons, bucs got Spencer Rattler... now I dont give a fug.

49ers turned the ball over as well. Moore kept forcing things. That was obvious.
-
He got the ball sparingly. I think 6 touches after Pollard went down.

you are just moving the goal posts now. Somehow and I dont know how the point is going over your head.... Hype for a college QB can change at the turn of a dime. You were just replied to by another poster that showed Howell as the unaminous number 1 pick for this past draft... that didnt happen. Same thing with JT Daniels, and he didnt even play for Georgia. Drake Maye is a QB that came back down to earth at the end of the season where he threw 4TDs to 4 INTS in the last 5 games with a 56% completion rate. But sure.. he is Lawrence and Luck like... QB ranking in college football are useless until the NFL Draft. ie:

There is a real possibility that Tepper does not like Sean Payton. We cant rule out the fact that Tepper may not hire someone because he doesnt like them. It's his company and Payton comes in trying to throw around his weight... it's plausible that Tepper just says no.
-
If you are going to be stubborn about this, then its probably not worth the debate. However, let me ask this... Where was Joe Burrow projected to be drafted in Jan 2018? The year before his Heisman season.
-
in 2021 those two QBs were projected to be the top of their draft class... so yes close.

Someone out there on Jan 23 2021 said: Giving the xTeam a chance at Corall or Howell next year sounds completely stupid!!

Payton, an NFL analyst for Fox Sports this season, told "The Herd" with Colin Cowherd last week that he was set to meet with Panthers owner David Tepper, which reportedly occurred on Friday. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2023-nfl-playoffs-bracket-championship-round-schedule-tv-odds-as-eagles-49ers-brace-for-nfc-slugfest/ Great reporting CBS.
-
It would take a lot for that to happen... considering no new head coach has been hired yet... not sure that I believe thats going to happen. Everyone is just waiting on Payton. Waitin on Payton

It is his fault... if your QB is struggling... and its a tie game... why are you passing deep and intermediate balls? You still have Zeke and Davis in the backfield. In the 2nd half 9ers blitzed over 50% of the time, bc they knew that Moore was panicking. He didnt mix it up at all... hence 8 passes being thrown at Lamb in the 2nd half. As I called out before in the other thread last week to why Moore isnt a good OC (Cowboy fans will say the same) he isnt a schemer, he is a talent depender. He depends on his talent to get things done, not his play design to set up his talent.
-
I'd argue that Moore did not call a good game either. Dallas became one sided fast after Pollard went of the game.
-
looking forward to this thread getting back to coaching updates.... this dry spell is killing me

Im excited to see how Purdy does in that situation. I really want a Bengals v Eagles Super Bowl with Bengals finally winning one. So Im rooting for the Hurt-y of Purdy.

Shanahan said he "would be surprised" is Jimmy G w3oudl be healthy next week. I doubt Jimmy G is active. 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said he "would be surprised" if QB Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) is available next week. Garoppolo shed his walking boot and was cleared to work off the side at practice this week. While there's hope Garoppolo can return this postseason, Shanahan said there's a "better chance" he'll be available for the Super Bowl if the 49ers get there than the NFC Championship. Garoppolo would be returning as a backup to rookie Brock Purdy if he makes it back.

Why do you make things up? Like seriously? Do you get off on it? eagles only scored under 20 points once this year with Hurts at QB. That was against the colts. out of their 17 games .. only 4 teams scored over 30pts against the Eagles, two of them being division opponents. Commands and Cowboys (the game hurts got hurt). The other two teams that scored 30pts on the Eagles were the Lions in the first game of the year and the packers. The Packers game has a garbage time TD to put them over the 30 pt mark. the commanders, lions, cowboys, and packers ALL run different offenses than each other, let alone the 49ers. The Eagles are statistically one of the best at covering the TE in the NFL.
-
Dallas’ run defense is statistically worse than the eagles. The eagles have 10x better pass defense. Eagles defense is much more challenging for the 49ers realistically and statistically.

Does McCarthy get fired after today? I feel like he shouldn’t.. but does he?
