  1. you realize these are opinions - right? What is hilarious is that you said you are not talking about "that tweet" but then post the tweet.
  2. Frank Reich has the strongest resume out of all of the candidates...
  3. The tweet says "this is my opinion" and you walked away with it as fact..... that's concerning.
  4. Out of all of the ways you can describe this coaching search…. Impatient is not one of them.
  5. these are coaches not players.... I just dont understand this whole arguement about coaches being too old... its not like they are out there playing....
  6. We tried that but he back to the Lions. Steichen isnt the hottest coaching candidate. Id argue that Ryans is hotter than he is when it comes to performance on the field
  7. I watched the replay of that play with the all angles from NFL.com. The actual draw up of the play made sense, it was the execution. For some reason Dak waited a half second too long to throw that ball, and threw it off balance... so the ball went high and inside. It was the throw that fuged it all up.
  8. Portraying that you are unprepared vs being unprepared are two different things. He could have been prepared like the rest but his plan was not effective for the job. You can practice being the best basketball player all of your life, doesnt mean you will be.
  9. haha yes. There is a reason there is a first round of interview. It's to see if they are worth the second round of interviews. You use the first round to limit your candidate pool for the second stage. Im pretty sure these first round interviews are personality checks, background checks, and their long term vision. If you downright did not agree with someone's approach to their job- would you spend time finding a reason to hire them? Dont say yes. Bc we all know you wouldnt based on your communication style on this forum. You kick ideas to the curb faster than Baker's career faceplant.
  10. Why are we dismissing that he could have actually just came off as unprepared and didnt have a good plan? Is that not a possibility?
  11. A) Since Covid they have been very fluid, lol. B) He didnt even know his opponent yet when he interviewed with us... how was in middle of prepping? He interviewed with us the Saturday of the first round of the playoffs where the Giants beat the vikings - which was a Sunday. C) They could have asked what do you feel we need to focus on heading into this next season, and what moves should we consider making? Then he could have replied with a bunch of general speak and say "we could trade for Trey Lance this offseason" and then automatically the intreview group were like "nope" It's not like they are going into these interviews thinking lets go with the flow and see what happens. They are looking for keywords, agendas, strategies, and how they would fit into the culture. One hour can tell you a lot about an individual.
  12. then what the hell is that poster rambling about? lol.
  13. you are correct, I left them out of my post on accident. Thanks for the clarification and correction.
  14. Did we talk to Steichen this week? I thought we spoke to him during the Eagles first round bye...
  15. What do you mean? They said he didnt interview well. The Panthers, Colts and Texans were the only teams that did early interviews with Steichen. No one else requested
  16. oh well. That explains why other teams havent been linked to him.
  17. This feels like the Broncos wanting to keep Evro and Texans wanting to keep Pep
  18. You have to think that it is possible Steichen was the guy from the get go. That's potentially why Johnson dropped from the race. He only wanted the Panthers job but its probably known within the league circles that we are going for Steichen. The Fangio interview happened before Johnson dropped, right?
  19. this whole thing could be to get Fox to pay him more
  20. This line for some reason stuck out to me.... at what point is there a line to outcoached and outplayed. One is about decision making at the highest level of the roster while the other is the talent on the field isnt doing their job. Of course you can blame the latter on the coach as well, but how much of it is really in the coaches hands? For instance, a QB throwing a pick .... is that the coach's fault? or The Steelers game where Chinn had his worst half of the season by constantly being out of position or not setting the edge when tasked as the OLB on the Najee Harris TD run... You chose those games above... and outcoached doesnt really stick out to me.... We went into those games with a gameplan and if it was executed we would have won (except for Bengals... we got punched in the. mouth). Steelers game.. both teams had identical gameplans... but the talent gap on the field was apparent. Baltimore game... we were in it the entire way... but Baker just couldnt see over the LOS Bengals game..... we had PJ starting and he gave up the ball twice in our own territory...I will give it outcoached though.... Bucs 2.... we werent outcoached.... we were pathetic on the outside perimeter against Evans. The rest of the game we played the football we wanted to play. To me... outcoached is when the opposing team introduces a gameplan that you can't counter because you werent ready for it. Talent gap plays a huge role in this... 3 of those games... the opposing teams didnt do anything special to beat us... in the end we beat ourselves (irony) with dumb turnovers and less than ideal play by our corners. Just my two cents.
  21. You are again over looking the point I am making.
  22. that unknown commodity... is one game away from being a OC on a super bowl contender, while coaching two different young Pro Bowl QBs... he will be known heavily.
  23. To persocute does not mean one feels persocuted. I was actually speaking about your behavior, not how the individual's you have tagged felt.... Can we stop now?
  24. I think it's time to come to terms that Steichen is the target.
