The confirmation wasnt for you, it was for me - You stated he was a dick from your observations and I was looking for examples. Since it was a vibe, then there is nothing we can take away from this. Indeed, let's move on.

what was his tell that would characterize him as a "dick" from your perspective? Maybe this is a healthier approach to understanding your statemetns rather than providing instances of which he is not.

I seem to remember a poster on the huddle sharing numerous stories about Tepper being fond of Stroud. Mainly, I remember this because of my reaction to this news. Shrugs.... I dont know if I can google these rumors, haha.
-
not to my recollection... Ive heard Tepper loving Stroud for almost a year now. Im sure that is where Allbright is getting in from too.

i dont think owners go to those events. I cant recall seeing one there ever. Tepper has been long rumored to be infautated with Stroud..i believe this was rumor mid college FB season

Rumor: The Prodigal Son And The Road Home
TheCasillas replied to rippadonn's topic in Carolina Panthers
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports the Giants will place the franchise tag on Daniel Jones if he isn't signed to a contract extension by Tuesday. Tuesday is the deadline to assign the franchise tag to a player. Jones is reportedly asking for $45 million per year. That would make him the fifth highest-paid quarterback in the league, tied with Patrick Mahomes. Jones played arguably the best football of his career in 2022. He ranked as the 11th-best quarterback in EPA per play and sat at No. 19 in adjusted yards per attempt. Still, top-five money at the position seems like a rich ask from Jones, and the Giants apparently agree. The two sides are reportedly not close to a deal, making the franchise tag all but inevitable. -
They will. Bryce is just way too efficient to not draft. Dolphins drafted Tua knowing that he may not be on the roster in a couple of years.. which may be the case.. but it didnt set them back for years for making that move. The Texans are a prime place for Bryce to go. I have no idea what the bears are going to do with their pick, otherwise id say Bryce will go 1...

Its all media hype. NFL needs to drum of free revenue right now... AR is the best thing that could possibly happen right now for the NFL during the dead part of the season.
-
I wasn't saying you were being naive... just using naivety in general if someone thinks this is him making silo'd decision. There is no doubt in league circles he is seen as the best QB of the bunch. I think its whether anyone will act on it because of his size that remains the question.
-
These players dont make these decisions without someone guiding them. He is being consulted on how to carry himself into the draft process. Its naive to think he is making all of these decisions on his own. As a passer he is the best in this draft.

The scrutiny is puzzling to me. Point 1- Around "average when put on a radar gun" See below: Point 2: Seems like a dick: The first thing he does is compliment the players that came out for the workout, thanks them and talks about how he hopes good things for them. Then he talks about how great Sam Burrow is and what he wants to work on to improve. https://www.facebook.com/KentuckyFootball/videos/will-levis-nfl-combine-workout-interview/926408235016210/ Meanwhile, AR (Who I really like) comes out and says he has a better arm than when Cam Newton came out.....

The wildest thing about media, analysts, and mocks is that they have to tell a story a hundred different ways with the same data…. Talk about monetized monotony. this is the period of time where we get ear banged with the same poo over and over but in a handful different of ways. Get ready for AR to be number 1 one day, CJ number 1 the next, and back to Bryce a mere couple days later. also, get ready for a bunch of “weird” inside reports like wayne Gretzky’s kid getting punched in the face. good luck everyone. Stay sane. Keep balanced.
-
I think there is more hype for the others than AR within league circles right now. The way scouts talk about Bryce and Stroud are completely different than the way they talk about AR and WL. with Bryce and CJ it’s “can” and “will” and AR/WL are “could” and “should”
-
I have to believe that’s a Vegas trap. Especially with it being early March. They are taking on the slew of bets coming in from his combine performance. It will all balance out come mid April.
-
I personally think AR will be the third/fourth QB taken. Where he will be taken all depends on who trades up. i also didn’t think Mitch Trubisky would be a top pick or Baker would go number 1 overall. So what do I know?
-
He was propped up by the hype machine. Again, this is not a played to player comparison to AR. This is tempering expectations on where the pro teams actually see these guys being drafted. they know way better than anyone else. Teams knew last year Malik wasn’t gonna go first round… but media, Vegas, sources and analysts all were saying Malik could be taken by the lions as their top pick.
-
The player comparison isnt the topic. its the hype of a player and projected draft spot at this point of the year.
-
Still was mocked to be at the top of the draft after the underwear olympics.
-
Posting this again: At this point last year …. Malik Willis was projected to be a top 3 overall pick after the combine and pro day. dont fall for the hype machine and get angry if your team doesn’t draft who the media wants you to love.
