Interesting to see a player ecstatic about one of our legends. I’ve never really put much thought into it, but I recall when DJ was drafted he mentioned that he didn’t watch football growing up , so he didn’t really know who Steve smith was. interesting to see it on the other end of the spectrum.

Any context to this? Or is it just a celebrity getting a jersey? This one might be over my head.

Sounds like over the past few weeks we have been changing tactics. Lattanzo didn’t share specifically and did say we were full switched over yet…. However , I have to assume it’s us no longer playing out of the back line and playing big balls to setup wing play and forward play. I like.

I wasn’t comparing anything but year 1… this isn’t a burrow vs Levi’s. This is if Levi’s starts for titans this year… the most relevant rookie qb situation would be burrow year 1. That is the topic.

They were not good yet or past their prime during Joe’s rookie season. They didn’t have a receiver over 1k in yards and tee Higgins as a rookie was the highest at 900 yards and Boyd at 840. They didn’t have a rusher over 450 yards. Joe had names during his rookie season but they weren’t who they are now yet. He had AJ green as a shell of himself as well. 2020 was not a year where the bengals were stacked like they are now.

You tagged the wrong person. I’ve never swayed on my comment about Levis. even during the draft. Titans have a young receiver core. They could add talent for sure but treylon and Westbrook have shown they can play at NFL level. If Levis starts early he will have some growing pains along with that young titans roster. It will be replicate of joe burrow when he had no weapons either.

Levis won’t be sitting. He will be starting by week 5. He is the only QB in this draft (outside of young) that could start day 1. He already has a leg up because of how many pro systems he has been in. So the learning the playbook isn’t going to be a monsterous task like it is for most rooks.

ESPN's Dianna Russini reports "all signs point to" the Vikings parting ways with Dalvin Cook. Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah was noncommittal on Cook's future with the team a few weeks before the draft. There have been trade and cut rumors surrounding Cook throughout the offseason. If the Vikings were going to trade him, there is a good chance it would have happened prior to the draft. Now they may simply choose to cut him. If the release happens after June 1st, Minnesota will save $9 million against the cap with an $8.2 million dead cap hit spread out over the 2023 and 2024 seasons. The team brought Alexander Mattison back in free agency and drafted UAB running back DeWayne McBride in the seventh round. Mattison would get the first crack at the starting gig and would immediately vault into high-end RB2 territory if Cook is released.
