I watched all of the game again looking for the kill calls... it appeared that they primarily occurred when the safety came down to the LOS. Meaning we were running a two play system. That was the closest to a trend I could find.

Panthers Culture drums up a lot of dumb takes... I wouldnt dive into them too far. There are play designs that are targeted for specific recievers. In this case it was probably a route combination that was specifically run through with Thielen in practice. Reich fuged up, but there is no way he is telling Bryce who to throw it to. Every play has a "go to" reciever.

I was wrong about Thomas being the 2nd read.... he is running a bait route to keep the corner down. Thielen is the 2nd read there.

He needs to hand over the playcalling... it's going to derail this whole thing. Focus on coaching the game, not the offense.

why would he step up in the pocket? If Chuba makes that block there is no need to step up... you step up if your guards create lanes... you dont just step up to step... especially in the red zone

It's not the first read is the problem. The play is designed to go TMJ>THOMAS>THIELEN/CHARK It's a flood concept to pull the zone away from the middle of the field. Thomas and Chark are running the man beaters. If Chuba is able to stay on the strong side and block Smith.. that ball is either going back of the endzone to Thielen or middle to Chark

he isnt the first read from what I am gathering. The first read is TMJ then Thomas and most likely back to Chark

Game planning is done by Thomas Brown and Parks Frazier. So our concern might be with them as well

I think I figured it out. It's because the Vikings knew what we were running... watch their dline as soon as we the ball is snapped. They all float right and drop back.. it wasn't a blitz. Guys.... Flores outcoached our offense this game.

I am getting a headstart on my write up for this week and going through all of the offensive plays. This one is puzzling to me though. As you can see Bryce is angry at something right when he begins to throw the ball. However, this is a designed screen play.. so the target is TMJ.
