Can’t land Watson, I’d like this idea. I’m not a fan of the QBs that will be there at 8. I think trading back and picking up future capital will be a good call especially with the no combine this year.

The 40mil is the total from Last April to this April, it includes the 29mm. As for going after the money, as long as Watson shows up to the required events, the Texans can’t do anything to take the money back. Watson would have to sit out and not show up.

He made 29 million dollars last year. He makes a full forty million if he is on the roster in April. Doesn’t even have to play a down. Thanks the structure of the contract. As I said before it’s an awful contract. also, Watson isn’t retiring so they can’t treat it like retirement.

He made 73 million by just signing it. He doesn’t have to play. The Texans can’t control that. It’s a bad contract for the franchise, real bad.

They do have a choice... offer free trials, locked articles, and exclusive content. even better... gamify your content so that users feel they are progressing their experience with the variety of additional content. give your user a reason to spend their money outside of getting the news.

To be fair... there were a dozen outlets stating that the Watson trade was just a rumor. News isnt news until happens. I'd rather spin my wheels here on something that has a chance of happening and franchise changing, then talk about Brees retiring or Brady sucks. Hahah

I dont think he will have a choice unless there is desperation by the trading partner. You'd be led by an incompetent FO if they keep the contract as is. Its a bad contract for a franchise.

Huddler posting a link to a website that has been credited to be correct and leaked out accurate information on this Watson situation should not be discredited because I came across it here. You can choose to ignore it, that is fine. However, there is a reason our name is popping up all over the place as a team tied to the Watson debacle.

I wont say you are wrong, but I will say I highly doubt the Texans will sit on Watson. Texans really do have little leverage in this situation. Your hypothetical works here, but will not work in the real life situation that is occurring. Watson WILL NOT be on the Texans roster come June.

This is def a possible outcome. If I was Nick Caserio... i'd quit though. That completely hamstrings him from being able to do his job. Also, other players would ask for their release or trade as well if they chose to do that.
