thats not what happened at all... Peppers wanted to leave bc Jerry Richardson try to force him to be a vocal leader on the team. Peppers didnt want to be that person. He told us he wasnt going to extend with us the year before his contract expired. We franchise tagged in hopes that two years (last year of contract + tag) would be enough time to change his mind. We did everything we could to keep him from walking. note: I have way more on this story, but im not gonna put it on blast. I hung out with Julius at Oak Room when he played for the Bears. He was an open book about it and it wasnt out of malice either that he left.

Trade: Panthers Acquire Ihmir Smith-Marsette from Chiefs
TheCasillas replied to Bluetooth's topic in Carolina Panthers
Roster update from when? I was literally running him at linebacker yesterday morning. -
They do get reps…. They are the scout team qb. The diffference is that they run the opponents system week to week and not the playbook of their own team. person talked about MC playing that role for us this year in his athletic article

Yes you can. There is a “sub lb” on the depth chart and you can also run dollar and Chinn will be your inside lb -
The comments at the bottom of that article are funny

They did not cross paths at Minnesota unless Adam was visiting training camp as a kid and made fun of JT from the sidelines

Have the panthers as a franchise ever done anything like that before?

Bc frank chooses to call vanilla and Thomas brown doesn’t during preseason still doesn’t change anything. Thomas brown is auditioning to be the play caller for us… frank isn’t. I’m not sure why those two couldn’t see the logic in that. it’s like they forget that there isn’t a game plan in preseason and as Peyton and Eli said in last years stream … a game plan is designed with only about 20% of the playbook being used per game.
-
Hmmm .. interesting. Frank and Brown use the same playbook right? I felt like what we saw was still vanilla play calling. I’ll give frank until week 4 before calling for someone else to call plays. just seems over reactionary at this point

Limited bc they just don’t have a 1st? They still have 6 picks in the bag.

How much confidence in Chuba or Blackshear?
TheCasillas replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
Chuba is going to be a good depth back in this league for the next couple of seasons. The only he doesn’t do well is catch the ball but he is damn good at pass protection and averages almost 5 yards per carry. -
did you think the play calling in that video was bad?
-
ahhahah right?

He had a pretty decent colllege resume for a 4th rounder. Was 3rd team all Big Ten and Butkus Award Semifinalist. I think thats a bit more than potential.... but i guess its subjective.
-
But this is his second year in the league? Where does this "always" come from?

Makes you wonder if the brass wanted lance and shanahan wanted Mac Jones. Brass won, and this is why shabby isn’t getting ridiculed or fired.

What story? That bears are letting him seek trade?

What’s the context to that last tweet?

Ifi had to guess He would likely good end up on the cardinals or rams before cowboys practice squad
-
Yea there is no doubting his arm talent
-
Thank you! That ball just zipped out of his hand… pretty wild

Just tuned in … I saw a pass to an open tight end and a wide open crossing play for a TD. Was there more than that? I didn’t think incredible but rather good for stroud on those only two throws i saw
