  1. I seriously wonder what player Miami could be offering that would beat our offer. They are very lackluster on talent.
  2. Id assume they wouldnt be spending all this and effort with the panthers is Watson didnt want to come here. There are reasons other teams are not invovled. They are probably working through all of the financials involved and shopping until the last minute. Once the dust settles, a deal will be approved.
  3. I'd assume this is the highest his value could possibly be. Teams who are desperate for a QB and want to win this season are willing to give more. Trades in season are always out of desperation from one side or the other. Also, they probably just want to wash their hands of the drama
  4. Shaq may not be respected on this message board, but he is respected by the league. He could fetch a 2nd round pick easily from a team who needs a spark of leadership on their defense. Yes to CMC. Easily.
  5. Im getting a weird vibe that IF we are in on this deal with the Texans and the Eagles are too. Then one of our players is going to the Eagles and they are sending a first to the Texans. Their weakness is linebackers and now running back.....
  6. becoming a panthers fan and waiting for my Dad to buy tickets to the inaugural game.
  7. @Verge do you have any insights on what the framework of the deals are? Is it still 3 1sts, multiple mid round and 2 starters? Curious to what the Eagles could offer to sweeten the pot.
  8. Well the one thing I just realized is that the Eagles have 3 first round picks in this year's draft. The value of having a first round pick in this year's draft is lower comparatively to last year's draft. The talent is just not as high this year. Also, the Eagles dont really have players they could offer back to the Texans in a deal. Half glass full perspective.
  9. if you dont like what she shares ignore it. We appreciate her insights. Being a brat about it does nothing but make you look like the nuisance.
  10. If Eagles are invovled, then we dont have a chance. They can offer more than any team in the NFL currently. I just dont see what talent they could offer in return.
  11. My biggest concern with Rhule is not getting involved more with his coordinators. I understand his philisophy of letting them coach and learn through ambiguity. However, Joe Brady just isnt getting it. The guy abandons the run and gives opposing defense an easy day. He leaves zero room for creativity, and never gets defenses off balance. It was a single score game and all we did was throw the football. That's a cake walk for defensive coordinators. I get that we are after Rhule right now, but to me the real issue is on one side of the ball.
  12. This. Xavien Howard is the only player worth acquiring but he wants too much damn money. The dolphins are thin on talent. Which is why their record is what it is.
  13. OH interesting.... I thought he stated he would play there. Philly is just as much of a poo show as Miami.
  14. I was concerned that the Eagles might get involved. No one has as much ammo as the Eagles when it comes to trade value. They are sitting on a treasureload of draft picks. They just dont have the player to offer in return.
  15. Okay you’ve convinced me. Good job. This franchise should just move to London. Mods you can go ahead and close this thread now. /s
  16. This is a good point, and I don’t disagree with it. My only counter point is that I’d be extremely concerned with all of his riches, if tepper didn’t confirm that this would not be a long term concern. I’d expect tepper to have DW do the following (if/once proven guilty) 1. apologize publicly 2. go through a rehabilitation process 3. Give back to women rights betterment programs 4. Community service if those aren’t in his plan, then yes. Stay away from this deal.unless our legal system just doesn’t do anything with the supporting evidence, then it’s a non (legal) issue.
  17. If you think of it this way.... 49ers traded 3 first round picks and a third round pick for Trey Lance. They traded 4 total picks for an unproven player (who hadn't played in over a year).... If they are asking for a defensive starter in return... is the deal really that overwhelming?
  18. What is your feeling on this Watson deal? Not going to lie... after sleeping on it... I want it to happen. I know that will rub people the wrong way, but finding a true elite franchise QB is the toughest thing to do in the NFL as a front office. The Watson requesting for a trade situation is unprecedented, and there really isnt a "fair price"
