  1. Huh? Gilmore was in at least 4 plays that drive lol….. he was in on all of the third downs as well.
  2. It’s largely possible that we just wanted to field a smaller, quicker, and shiftier receiver in our game plan today. we know that Erickson is a lock due punt returns and zylstra has been in the system for two years. to get shi on the field means that TMJ was the only option. This is more a testament to getting Shi ON the field rather than TMJ off the field. #rationalthinking
  3. It’s due to the fact the dolphins blitz more than any team in the league. Moton and Rhule shared that communication is key on the offensive line. Daley is there (and he hasn’t played bad, just keeps getting injured) for communication purposes and blitz pick up experience. doesn’t matter though, Daley will be hurt by the end of the first.
  4. Just providing a helping hand here…. Moore has about 3 yards on the corner… the problem is the timing on the play. Cam doesn’t have his feet set quite yet. I expect this to get resolved through repetitions ….
  5. i hope his contract has an escalator for this, bc he deserves it.
  6. Maaaaan…. Those 4th down play calls were just so baffling. Ron knew we were running shallow routes ….
  7. 1. I am not trying to be a dick here, but this again is wrong. Over half of our positional coached (9+) have over 10 years of experience in the NFL. 2. You dont rob peter to pay paul, Rhule has a lot to do as a head coach, you hire people to do a job not because you will do the job for them. Also, you are making the assumption that Rhule is not sitting in that o line room providing overrsight and support. At the end of the day, Pat Meyer is still accountable for that oline. 3. How many teams truly have this guy? And we want to grasp at straws Sean Ryan, Al Holcomb, Tony Sparano Jr. and Pat Meyer all have been with at least 6+ teams in their long NFL tenure. Again, not trying to be a dick, but these 3 points are responses to your statements that dont really have much of a foundation.
  8. He definitely has the pedigree. So I am not sure what happened this year, maybe just the hodge podge talent he was given. However, as a positional coach he should be able to get the best out of players and help them improve. The o-line penalties and issues have just been ongoing and every growing this year.
  9. Seeing this, sparked some intrigue on my side about how inexperienced our postiional coaching staff really is... turns out only 2 of our 18 positional coached have no nfl experience... 1. Mike Siravo : SENIOR DEFENSIVE ASSISTANT 2. Evan Cooper: CORNERBACKS/DIRECTOR OF PLAYER EVALUATION Neither of those of those two are of concern at this point. SOURCE
  10. Pat Meyer is the one under the microscope, and he never coached at Baylor.
  11. That was Arthur Smith's staple last year with the Titans.
  12. The timing was off, DJ had 5-7 yards on his man, but by the time Cam had the ball and his feet set, DJ was in the back of the end zone, with no more room to seperate from his defender. Cam took the next best option.
  13. but just like players, if they dont get it... then they too can be gone. That's the sign of a good HC as well. You move on from the pieces that are holding you back.
  14. I am climbing into this boat as well... I honestly would like to see what Sean Ryan could do. At the same time, we have just been through so much turnover this year... It's a tough one to consider.
  15. RE: Thought process on 4th down late in 4th quarter Analytically, you should punt that ball. You still have three timeouts. Started to go punt the ball and then just because Cam [Newton] doesn't truly know the two-minute as well as maybe you would like. I said hey, I have Christian McCaffrey. They haven't stopped him all day. Let's take a shot at it. Still knew I had the two-minute warning and knew kind of like how it played out in the end where you get the ball back with a minute and a half if we needed to go down and score a touchdown. First started going with probably what is traditionally football wise what you should do then just said, hey, lets give these guys a shot to go make a play. I thought they would make the play. We made it. We just came up half of a yard short.
  16. In the presser Rhule brought this up as well... he started with the D and mentioned our offense still needs to convert on third downs and not commit penalties that kill drives. He is right... our 3rd conversion rate was abysmal. If we can convert on 25% more than we did, then takes at least one posession away from WFT. Maybe even before the half ends where they ended with a TD. We have to keep the ball away from the opposing team, and put them into a one dimensional situation.
  17. I spent the last two hours listening to all of the pressers from Monday and Sunday, and I have to say.... there is something that is very evident happenig in that locker room. Here are my takeaways: 1. Joe Brady has lost the team. No one stood up for him or said anything in his defense when asked about the playcalling. Rhule used to be the one who would play gaurdian for Brady... but not yesterday, he basically said that we have to get away from this underneath passing game and also stop giving up on the run so quickly. Sounds like Brady is just not getting it. His third down play calling took most of the brunt of the comments, but his reliance on CMC for those short passes is leading to frustration. I dont expect him to be here next year. 2. "If the defense would run the plays called by Phil (Snow), we'd not give up a first on those 3rd and 4th downs." - This comment... that hurts. I was at the game and our defense definitely looked lost at times, and even panicking right before the snap. With all of the preaching coming from the players and coaches during the pressers about our "leaders needing to be leaders".... this is an example of that. Sounds like our defense is missing one more leader, my guess would be a veteran safety. I remember when Kuechly used to bust players chops for being out of position and literally move players where they are supposed to be... that's missing right now. 3. As much as this board wants to rip and blame Rhule, judging by those pressers we are alone. Not a single player said anything agaisnt Rhule, and matter of fact basically repeated everything he has said in his own pressers. That means they are bought into him as a leader of this team. As was said in the presser "Rhule isnt the one out there blowing coverages or holding players" 4. We have to stop being knuckleheads with our penalties. It sounds like our oline coach is going to be in some hot water moving forward. Our o-line is responsible for most of our penalties, and they are bonehead penalties. I'd expect an offensive trench overhaul this off season. Which we are all hoping for anyways. These guys practice this stuff 100s of times per week, but seem to get it wrong on Sundays... this falls on the positional coach and the player himself. 5. Rhule didnt throw anyone under the bus like most keep saying here. He said it all starts with the leaders on this team, including himself. That's 100% accurate. We have a young team and players who have 10x the amount of reps they have. They need to step up and whip this kids into shape and drive focus on the execution. Rhule said they knew the plays the WFT were calling and Snow was calling the plays to stop it, but our players were out of position or missing gap assignments. Either Snow's defensive is way too complex (I doubt it) or we need to have someone back there putting people in their place. 6. Lastly, sounds like Donte blamed other people during the game instead of taking on ownership of his mistakes. He admitted to this lightly, and stated that there were 2-3 plays that he fuged up. He humbled up and said he will be better. I dont think Donte is with us next year, sounds like the "me first" mentality still exists in his head. (ie 2018) TL DR: Rhule isnt the problem. Brady gone. We need one more defensive veteran/leader. Donte wasn't the leader he was supposed to be on Sunday.
  18. You can watch it here for yourself (1:00 in) He is referring to himself and other veterans when he says “leaders” and he is basically saying that they need to come down harder on the younger guys. The execution errors are too frequent and they need to learn faster. just heartburn from being on an extremely young team. good job person with his misleading tweet. Yet again.
  19. The one thing to consider is if TB rests their starters in week 18. They would have the divison clinched by then. Arizona and Green Bay may be out of reached by then for them to try and win a meaningless game for them.
  20. The WFT has gotten away with way to many penalties. I can’t believe they got it away with that crucial false start on that 4th down. My entire section was losing their poo
  21. Can’t blame snow for Keith and D Jac blown assignments. Both came on 3rd and 4th down of WFT scoring drives
  22. Turns out my Sam Darnold jersey wasn’t a total waste of money after all
  23. You know their life wouldn’t be like this If people didn’t click these type of videos. Our culture is so weird
  24. Worked really well against one of the best football teams in the league last week. I’m not against it. Keyshawn Johnson shared that it will take Cam about 4 weeks total to get the full playbook down, and thats ambitious. Smart move
