The team that is trying to build franchise is Scott F/Samir/Dan Morgan.... the moves we make now are not just for 2022, but establshing a foundatoin for 2023 +.... The contracts these players are signing are multi year deals, and not rental contracts. If you microfocus on Rhule, you are going to lose site of the big picture.

I like your thinking. This team has a competitive roster, and has only truly 2 glaring holes. If Im fitty, dan morgan, and Samir.... Im going to want to make DW regret not coming here. These guys want to prove they are good at their jobs, and will most likely pull off some decent acquisitions before draft weekend. I trust this front office.

trying to compete is not "desperation" -- I'd argue going into the season attempting to lose would look like desperation to get the top pick next eyar.
