It would happen this year most likely, especially if the ravens are unable to extend him. It’s too risky going into the off-season , they could Franchise tag him, but he would be cheaper for competing teams to acquire him. They would only have to give up 2 1sts at max if was franchise tagged. if it’s a trade he wouldn’t have a choice, bc it’s still his rookie contract.

My turn. panthers are prepping roster for huge trade with ravens.. they willl be acquiring Lamar Jackson for 2 firsts after they franchise Lamar early next year. lamar is negotiating his own contract and prefers the panthers roster than the ravens.

I would t be surprised if we are doing this to make a play for lamar Jackson within the next year. It’s crazy that Lamar still doesn’t have an extension in hand heading into his final year of his contract….

Sure you could blanket his responsibilities that way. In that case that’s every position, every coach, and every player. However, day to day activities…. The head coach is not spending 8-10 hours per day developing a quarterback. this is done by the qb coach and extended by the offensive coordinator. Rivera didn’t develop cam. Dorsey did. BB didn’t develop mac jones, mcdaniels did. Josh Allen had culley and Dorsey, it wasn’t McDermott. that’s specifically what those coaches get paid to do. Literally to coach and development quarterbacks, it’s their actual job description. Head coach is to run a football team.
