Sam Darnold Presser "Umm" and "Ya know" drinking game?
TheCasillas replied to thunderraiden's topic in Carolina Panthers
Matt Corral does the same thing in his interviews.... its just the way the human brain works by using filler words when transitioning thoughts. -
these are warm ups... Corral was high and wide..... dont give a poo about 4... Darnold looked effortless and in the right spot lower numbers. Not a Darnold fan, but we need to take off our hype/hate goggles here.

What's Christian McCaffrey up to?
TheCasillas replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's not a head start... bc they would have to start ground zero. An NFL player isnt going to be hired as a developer (career example) directly out of their end date in the league. However, a kid who went to college as a developer, will get hired as a developer directly out of college. So that four year period of learning of how to develop code, starts the day the NFL player realizes that they are not going to be in the NFL as a career. At this point, the college kid has already received his 4 year pay bump of (20% according to statisitics) and accrued benefits. The NFL player would have the capital they earned from playing in the league, but would not be on an even platform as the college kid who is now an experienced developer in the field. So using the model in my previous post... the NFL player would have a larger balance, but after 13.3 years, (avg salary of a developer starting out is 74k) their trend lines would meet, and the college kid would surpass the NFL player in total income and balance. Ofc this includes a zero spend variable. -

2 Charlotte FC Tickets Available for Fellow Huddlers
TheCasillas posted a topic in Carolina Panthers
Posting this in this channel in case CLT FC fans dont go into that message board. Hey all, I have family visiting tomorrow, and Im unable to attend the game today for the Charlotte Football Club. The tickets are on the 48 yard line 300 section, and not in the sun. They face value at $113, but i figured id throw a huddle discount out there and see if anyone here wants them for $60 each. These also come with $30 in concessions credits. Free beers. -

Id love to see what supporting evidence you have make this claim accurate. It seems that you are operating off of the assumption that these players would not replace all of those football hours, which would be in the 10s of thousands, with any other proffession training, education, or in field experience. These are no different that any of us, and we (most of us) have careers in a wide variety of fields, so why wouldn't they? They had different paths to their jobs, but it doesnt mean that they couldnt have ended up in a completely diffferent professional space if they made one decision differently. Look at Laurent Duvernay-Tardif... he is a doctor first, and pro football player second... that alone destroys your narrative of "nothing else they can do" Also, if you think NFL players make "that kind of money," then you should read up on how the salaries really work out for these players. Kids come into the league broke, and leave the league broke more often than not. Over 60% of NFL players dont even get a 2nd contract, and over 15% of the entire league makes less than 200k over their entire NFL career (thanks to the new practice squad system). The average working american makes more money than the average NFL player does over their career. There is data to support that. Here is some math to help out: The average NFL players career lasts 3.3 years with an average salary of 860k, and since their tax bracket is of the highest, they are taxed 37% of their total income. These contracts do NOT include any long term benefits, retirement benefits, or disability and life insurance. Those all cost separate. So with that, lets just leave out cost benefits, and go with salary post tax... That means the average NFL player takes home 541k per year. So after their average duration of their career an NFL player will make 1.8milion dollars. Now, lets take the average working american, with NO college degree. They average 41k in the USA for their salary. The average working American works 44 total years, and accrues benefits, and typically recieves a 20% pay raise every 4.1 years. However, for this example I am going to stay flat on career earnings for a working American. The tax bracket for these individuals is the lowest and are only taxed 10%. So with that, an average american would make 1.6million dollars over their career not including any pay raises, career transitions, benefits, or retirement. If you add a degree (which all nfl players have) then the average working american will make over 2 million dollars during their career. There is a false belief that NFL players make more money during their careers than successful working americans. Its simply not true. The NFL is a cruel place for these players, and the NFLPA needs to do more. So your comment about "there is nothing else they can do to make that kind of money".. its wrong. Having a stable career in one of the hundreds of fields that net you decent to above average money, will have you much better off than the average NFL player over the long term. Bonus note: My company is paying kids out of college at a starting salary of 80k with bonuses. If thats their starting point, then their end point will be over the 10s of millions during their careers. -

I am going to bucket this into the “poor takes by LG” you have good takes some days, and others you have poo like this. You literally have no idea what you are talking about. These guys are getting hit by trucks week in and week out, and you are stating he doesn’t want to compete? You think they just go out there and run their bodies into the ground bc they have nothing else to do? zero human empathy in your posting today. -
If this doesn’t get you excited about Matt Corral, nothing will

Hasnt he been an offensive consultant and a QB coach since he was a HC? -
the difference between the two: CMC : missed no games until last 2 seasons Kamara: missed 2-3 games every season (including 7 missed last year)

What Are The Chances that Christian McCaffrey Stays Healthy?
TheCasillas replied to Pantha-kun's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you remove CMC's name from that poll, you should still get 50% or less certainty. The NFL is a wildcard when it comes to injuries. Every year we see a big name go down for the count. Its a physical sport and injuries are part of the game. It's wild we are critical on a person getting injured in a sport where you are getting hit by the equivilent of a truck going 20mph every week, and sometimes twice a week. We have quikcly lost focus on the dangers of thursday night football. NFL teams should make that their rest games and play their 2s. Basically giving Goodell a big fug you. -
They are aligned with the approach of bringing in a QB with years of experience that is not named Sam Darnold. You and I have zero hard evidence that Fitt and Rhule do not agree, and if there is thinking that these two guys have different agendas, then I think it might be plausible that your bias has overruled rationale. When the BTS video drops this coming week, I think it will clear some stuff up for many perspectives.
-
We are on the same page, and from outside looking in the assessment is as best as it could be. I think we are going to walk away with a different impression once the draft BTS video is released. As Gantt or Fowler wrote (can’t remember which) it was fitterer and Rhule who looked at each other and said “do it” when it was time to trade for the pick to get corral.
