Watching Bills preseason, Josh Allen playing
TheCasillas replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
the topic isnt about Rhule. Its about your misperception on how preseason is "supposed to be run." -
i disagree. I thought the same thing but they didnt take the opp to cut them when they had a chance this past week. I think the reason he still on this roster is bc the coaching staff likes him. He is a solid special teams player as well.

Watching Bills preseason, Josh Allen playing

how can you say this with certainty when this is the 2nd season of 3 preseason games? Show me data that says preseason game 2 is the official "dress rehearsal" of the NFL. Let's take a look at a couple of week 2 preseason games last year... Rams v Chargers : Starters sat. Bills v Lions: Bills sit starters Bengals v Bucs : Sit starters Titans v Falcons: Sit Starters Also this "Rest starters" there is a one week bye before the season.... how much rest do they need? There is no flat data that supports this mindless theory you are dying on a hill for. -

Josh Allen has thrown 3 balls this entire preseason..... Talk about a serious lack of awareness. -

Are they that much better then last season?
TheCasillas replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
but that goes for any football team. Losing 3+ players at any position tanks your roster. My memory may not be working well this am, but I cant recall a tream that lost 3 players in a position group and still had a winning season. I guess you could say the 2017 panthers with our WR situation.... but that feels like a stretch. -

I dont think its a matter of two significant injuries to the offesnsive or defensive. Its a significant injury to a significant player, like Burns or Moton. However, if we our center go down and one of the tackles, we are in a much better position than we have been in a few years. For example: God forbid this happens.... Situation: Ickey goes down with a season ending injury... Solution: BC goes to left tackle and Bozeman/Elfein/Mays go to LG. Last year we didnt have this kind of option, adn this year we do. I get knocking our depth, but situational depth vs depth chart depth... are vastly different. -

This forum right now after seeing maybe 15 potential game day players play limited minutes in a meaningless no game plan, vanilla offense and defense play calling game … it’s mind jarring. if we had played well and won last night…. The inverse of today would be “it’s just preseason, there is no reason to think this team can win 4 or more games this year.” everything is so spoken matter of factly, when in all reality none of us know how this season will play out. -
Based on the news that came out of camp about him last year, the hesitance to play him and our off-season moves… brown was a goner and now we know why.

Story on the Joe Brady situation from Charles Robinson..
TheCasillas replied to WOW!!'s topic in Carolina Panthers
Sure. However, were you saying this exact same statemetn prior to last year when Burrow was coming off of an ACL tear and the bengals were signing players like Eli Apple and drafting WRs while having the worst oline in the league? -

We were originally interviewing Caldwell for the OC role and assistant HC. Ended up with Brady. Also, McAdoo and Sean Ryan were finalist for the QB coach job and we went with Sean Ryan. -

TE Eric Ebron wants to play for the Panthers

technically it is. Still doesnt make it easier to sign a player who has a tough time being available on sundays. -

Talent wise, yes. Health wise, no. Ill take a healthy Ebron 10x out of 10. However, his track record for game day availability hasnt been his strength. -
2nd and 3rd string expected most tmrw night
TheCasillas replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
its honeslty probably already shared internally with the team today. It will be casually shared by Rhule in a presser. -

Darin Gantt according to NBC Sports Edge. It says Monday, but its in their latest feed, I assume it is a typo since they happen often on their site. TERRACE MARSHALLWR, CAROLINA PANTHERS Terrace Marshall (hamstring) returned to practice Monday. Marshall missed some time with a hamstring injury. He will likely be eased back in -- he got some rest on Wednesday -- but he should be good to go for Week 1. Marshall was having a great offseason before the injury. -
