  1. He isnt paid like a starter. He is paid like backup that can start. Nowhere near what starters actually make in this league. For example: The TCV of a starting TE in the NFL right now is 60-75million... Ian is getting 20million.
  2. I disagree. His cap hit is 3million this year. There are backups in this league who make the same as Ian on a per year basis. I dont think that impacts whether we can afford another tight end at all. Other teams are doing it. 3. I get that we are not a fan of Ian getting a new contract, but in what way is it "big?" He is the 24th highest paid tight end in the league, and only 1.5% of our total cap.
  4. In all honesty, Id offer a conditional 4th for him. Im sure the Dolphins are looking for a 2nd or 3rd... that's too rich for my blood.
  5. Are you saying that it has been reported that Baker looks out of sync with the offense? Or saying that if they has reported that.. then that’s gonna be an issue? I know that Mondays practice had some tweets about his accuracy. However, it sounded like he moved the ball well against the patriots day 2 of practice and CO’s Ellis has been praising baker daily when he attends practice (outside of Monday)
  6. Injury history? He has played at least 14 games every single season. The most games he has missed in a single season is 3.
  7. I totally misheard him. I thought I heard "intending" not "contending" - thanks for the correction.
  8. in our offense thats gonna be CMC, haha.
  9. Rhule did say "Bozeman was our intended starter" before his injury occurred during today's presser.
  10. He is referring to the 3rd WR slot. This is a shot at TMJ not DJ or RA.
  11. Wtih Campen's background in turning late rounders into studs ... Cade Mays is the one that we should mainly keep an eye on.
  12. He also inherited Taylor Moton, Brady Christenson, Bozeman, Ickey and Corbett. Not bad for a coach new on the job.
  13. Im curious how often we will have 4 WR sets. It will most likely be rotational plays that we see Higgins. I dont have much isnight into McAdoo's "modern offensive" plan. I hear that he actually had a footprint in the Cowboys game plans last year.
  14. Marcellus Wiley said that Ickey should have to earn the starting job during the OTAs. Every pro has a different opinion. I agree with Gross though.
  15. I really like Higgins - he is such a happy guy. Even watching his personal vlog on when he signed his contract with us was awesome.
  16. it was an ongoing discussion on this forum during the practice threads. There were photos to reinforce the conversations as well. Bozeman and Baker spent a lot of time together. Someone on here nailed it when they said that they felt it was intentional that baker and bozeman were with the twos to get used to each other while SD played with Elf. The injury put a kink in the plans for bozeman to start. I would assume Bozeman would have been the starting center at the same time we put ickey at LT and BC at LG, but the injury occurred. edit: listening to the presser with rhule and he just said "Bozeman was the guy we intended to start at Center."
  17. im not here to debate or ignite a fight. However, it was reported many times that Bozeman was the center that Baker took most of his snaps from before Bozeman went down with an injury. I believe this is a contributing factor to the bobbled snaps right now with Elf.
  18. https://www.si.com/nfl/bengals/news/zac-taylor-is-betting-favorite-to-be-the-first-head-coach-fired Someone has to be the best bet every year.
  19. DJ had 4 TDs against the Pats and Robbie had 3
