  1. conversation* thanks for calling out my typo.
  2. I want to see Darnold in this offense...
  3. Well its a lock for a 5th round pick at most to the Browns.
  4. yea we only have a few tradeable assets. Luckily there are very few players that are "we have to trade these players or we are fuged" type of scenarios.
  5. nevermind then, It's obvious you don't want to have a constructive conversation. Noted.
  6. I dont think anyone has particpated to our back and forth in this thread, so I can't agree it has torpedo'd. Also, i dont think you circled back to any message, this is actually the most you typed about your origninal convo in our entire debate. Now that you have gottent this off your chest..... which QB should we have built capital and traded for?
  7. but then year 2 he went backwards and year 3 he was atrocious, for a HC that preached QB play and let Steve B. walk and then traded for Lewis... he sure did seem like he knew what is was doing
  8. I am just attempting to understand where you are getting your information. Bc some of it appears to be made up. This whole conversation has stemmed from you saying: We've been one win from having both a few seasons now. and I was just curious who were these qbs you are speaking of....
  9. the data is right there... only targeted 16 times.. ofc his score is going to be bad with the PIs. You watch off ball footage of CJ and you can see that he is a solid man coverage corner. He has played as much as Donte Jackson and had less targets (CJ and Donte have played very close to the same amount of snap counts). He has had less targets than a lot of corners in the league. If CJ doesn't have those PIs , the only thing we are talking about when it comes to him is that awful attempt to tackle yesterday.
  10. one loss would have put us at the 7th spot in that draft, jsut move us up one spot. We would have had the exact pick of the options we had at 8th. Our SOS was higher that the rest of the teams picking ahead of us. Which QB could we have picked in 2021?
  11. That means he covered the reciever well... that they werent open for the ball to get thrown his way....
  12. This thread is going to be full of recency bias. Watching that Seifert coached NFL team was tough to sit through. My dad had a suite during that period of time, that came with tickets in the 307 section. I always preferred to be outside rather than the box... I showed up to every home game saying to myself "this is the game we win..." and it never happened. Seifert just didnt give a fug, he rode his 49ers pedigree and drove the franchise into the ground. He got progressively worse each season that went by... 3 years here as well... That nut had announced he would be back for another season at his presser and then was fired the next morning. For good reason.
  13. I can see the Justin Herbet, but that was RR's doing. What was the other QB we were 1 win from getting?
  14. Im not on the defense for Fitterer. I am still a fan of the CJ trade, and know many here are knocking it. CJ on film looks really good when the ball doesnt come his direction. He doesnt fit the scheme we are running, and the 3 PIs are tough. Although I still think yesterday's PI was bs. I honeslty would love to see Dan Morgan promoted and part of the hiring process for the new HC. Dan Morgan has ties to Buffalo and Seattle.... so Quinn and Dorsey just make too much sense. I will keep a lookout for this Council video. Thanks for the heads up.
  15. Fitterer doesnt seem like the type to sell low. This could be his last year as GM here, and if it is... Tepper has most likely told him dont do anything with the roster. That's the other piece to consider here.... Tepper is the only one who knows the plan for next season. So he may just want to freeze the roster outside of a couple players like Robbie , bc we make money on trading him.
  16. If you look at our roster though... the overvalued and overpaid barely exists. The 4 highest players who are on our team are Shaq, CMC, Moton, and Robbie. The rest of the roster is highly affordable. Those four players are 100 million in cap next year. Who else are we going to ship out to get draft picks and save money in the process? Shaq and Robbie are gone after this year and we are able to save 25 million across both of them by moving on.
  17. If Staley misses the playoffs this year, he very well could be out as well. His game day decisions are atrocious. He almost single handedly gave the Browns the game yesterday.
  18. You havent followed Zac Taylor to know that he is a terrible coach and the fan base has turned on him. He make horrible in game decisions, and also has a job because of Burrow. Bengals will move on from Taylor if they are not in the playoffs this year. Even Joe B. called out coaching last night in his post game presser. Zac was one of the hottest seats last year heading into the 2021 season. It's still warm. Your comment "random teams" - lol.
  19. Maddox was out due to an ankle injury, and Slay had a forearm injury, but he was full particpant all week last week in practice and played yesterday. The eagle dont need secondary help right now. They actually dont really need anything role wise. Maybe a LB, but thats it.
  20. Robbie is defintely a target in the trade process. The Giants and Packers come to mind.
  21. yeah - we need to lose out but without losing our top tier talent in the process. We are not a team in need of a rebuild, just a team in need of a NFL coaching staff and a QB.
  22. what are you even saying here... If the Saints have the option to trade the rights of Payton to ANY team outside of the NFC South looking for a coach, why would they trade him to us? Cardinals Broncos Commanders Lions Bengals Titans Texans are all teams that will most likely be involved in the next HC hiring cycle
