Official hey the Panthers are wearing black helmets GameDay Thread!
TheCasillas replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Potentially. But it’s not as bad as it looks as far as moving on from him. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/carolina-panthers/donte-jackson-25154/ only 3 million in dead cap and 10 million in savings in 2024. That would be our “spending year” -

I am very curious what Lamar would look like with an offensive roster that is stacked with talent. Ravens have never really invested much on the offensive side of the ball. Every year Ravens fans are screaming get a receiver and then they go get tight ends and backers. Then again, Greg Roman's offense is always about the backs and tight ends.

And right after I posted that nugget above … this : Raiders waived S Johnathan Abram. Abram lost his starting job in Week 8 and played just 52 combined defensive snaps over the last two weeks. Duron Harmon and Trevon Moehrig have been Vegas' starting safeties. 2019 first-rounder Abram doesn't have a single NFL season to his name with above a 54.2 PFF coverage grade and might be a candidate to be a dimebacker elsewhere ala Mark Barron -- he just hasn't covered well enough to be an easy fit at safety.
-
Abrams Is literally one of the worst safeties in the league…. Raiders were trying to convert him to LBer like Mark Barron before they pulled the plug. whoever claims him, they are taking on a project.

I think that is just Ben going to bar for his QB room. They are co-workers… no reason to bash him

I think our HC hire will tell us everything we will need to know with our upcoming draft approach. -

@LinvilleGorgehas me on this Anthony Richardson trade back plan... Pending who our new HC is... AND how Richardson finishes the season, I could be down with developing AR while backing up MC9. -

kicking the can down the road isnt the answer.... just bc these kids out of college dont look elite doesnt mean they wont be great. The consensus is becoming that there is not a "sure-fire" pick. However, there are only two* QBs on winning teams right now that was a "sure-fire" pick. 1. Burrow 2. Tua -

Im begining to agree... ive watched so much college football this year, and I just dont see the ascendance of elite prospects that I thought we would. Of course, things can change... but im not sure we see 2 QBs go in the top 10 this year. -

Are we a better, equal or worse situation than the colts?
TheCasillas replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yikes.... this does not look good for the Colts next year.... aging players with heavy contracts....https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/cap/2023/ -

They are honestly in a worse position that us. They are year behind us in the process. Damn shame they have Matt Ryan on the books for another season. They will be lining up for Drake Maye (or whatever QB) at 1 overall in 2024 draft. -

now the narrative will turn for the Bills... going to be an interesting week in their fandom and the media if this turns out to be a serious injury.
