  1. ESPN's Dan Graziano believes the Raiders could release QB Derek Carr after the season. The Raiders signed Carr to a three-year extension in April. While it's unlikely the Raiders move on from Carr a year after he recruited WR Davante Adams to Vegas, Carr's deal has no guarantees left and releasing him would leave $5 million in dead money. The Raiders project for a top-five pick, giving them capital to draft Carr's replacement, and there are rumors of HC Josh McDaniels reuniting with ex-Patriots QB Tom Brady this offseason. The Raiders have until three days after the Super Bowl to make a decision on Carr. Carr has a $32.9 million base salary next year and would be owed a guaranteed $7.5 million in 2024 if he remains on the post-February roster.
  2. Yeah, the point I was making that there has been a scenario where a coach turned down a job bc of the situation. Meaning it can happen. Andrew Luck retired the year before this though. So that was already on the table.
  3. i think the topic was a coach turning down a job. If it wasnt, then I replied incorrectly.
  4. I dont know if you know that this shows nothing to dispute what I said... So Herbert, Mahomes, Allen, and Watson are not the best QBs drafted over the last 5 years in the first round?
  5. over the last 5 years it appears to be in the 6-12 range. Herbert Allen Mahomes Watson
  6. You think so? I feel like it would be the other way around.... I dont see Reich getting another HC job right out the gate. We will see though.
  7. Pending how Wilks does the rest of the year.... this could be a 1a/1b combo for the staff next year. Totally hypothetical.
  8. It has already been reported by insiders that the Baker trade was a Rhule move. ESPN even reported that Fitt pushed back but Rhule was "convinced" that Baker was the guy.
  9. 5 picks in the top 100 and 3 in the top 50, top 5 offensive line, three young receivers and an owner willing to trade it all for a franchise QB… im not sure we are as tough as a sell as you propose. It’s not like teams who are hiring this off-season are going to have an established offensive roster already in place….
  10. The only college coach I like... is Kiffin. However, Im not ready for another college coach hire... haha.
  11. Chargers fans also despised Shane Steichen....
  12. these arent head coaches... they are potential OCs that will be discussed this offseason.
  13. Does this mean it is over? https://www.heraldonline.com/news/business/article268721017.html
  14. The shortlist of potential OCs (no relation with Wilks, but would be hot candidates) would most likely be: James Urban (QB coach Baltimore) Andrew Jonocko (QB Coach CHI) Pep Hamilton (OC Texans) Frank Reich (Unemployed) Kliff Kingsbury (AZ HC) Matt Nagy (Asst. HC KC) Josh McDaniels (LV HC) Joe Lombardi (OC LA) only bc its possible the chargers move on from Staley this offseason Darrell Bevel (Passing Coordinator MIA) - obvious reasons Brian Angelichio (TE Coach MIN) - former Panther coach who has seen success since leaving Shea Tierney (QB Coach NYG) - Intelligent up and coming coach I bolded who I like.
  15. im not dismissing the fibers of the grasss, but that is the part that appears they have gotten down to a science. It's the actual surface that is the issue. They should be focusing on that, and they probbaly are. Again, not a turf guy so i dont know.
  16. If I were a turf company (and I know nothing about turf) I’d be looking for ways to create the surface to replicate the ground and not the actual fibers of the “grass.” the issue isn’t the material of the grass but rather the forgiveness of the surface.
