  1. CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREYRB, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said Christian McCaffrey is day to day with "knee irritation." McCaffrey dealt with the knee issue last week, though it never forced him to leave the game. He totaled 15 touches while splitting work with Elijah Mitchell, who is now out for the remainder of the regular season with a knee injury. McCaffrey appears on track to play in Week 13, but his workload could be kept in check. If he does wind up splitting work, it will be worth Jordan Mason. The UDFA from Georgia Tech has yet to make an impact as a rookie, but he is in line for the No. 2 role now. Mason should be rostered in all fantasy formats.
  2. as he should... Franklin is a thumper with legs.
  3. If your point is "My point is if our coach hires a great OC, he will get plucked away from us" - then yeah no one will disagree with that. However, my original quote of your reply (We need a coach that can develop young QBs be it Corral or our rookie. ) was in reference to this myth that HC's directly develop QBs.. that is not how the NFL works.
  4. You are excluding the OCs and QB coaches here and giving the credit to the HCs. Tua has made massive progress under his new QB coach Darren Bevell and was making strides last year.. he was the most accurate QB in the league. Herbert was having a strong two year campaign with Steichen as his OC and we are seing the same with Hurts under Steichen as well. Colin K lost his OC (Greg Roman) when Harbaugh left..... Mike McDaniel isnt a QB guy, he is a run scheme guy. He always has been. He was an RB coach as his first stint and was the run game cooridinator under Shanny until he became a HC.
  5. Personally, I believe this credit should go to Greg Roman, the OC for the 49ers during that period and the current OC for the Ravens.
  6. This was a topic in a thread on the huddle in the offseason. HC does not develop QBs... QB/OC coaches do. There can not be a thought process in the world that thinks that HC has enough time to build and manage a team while also mentoring and fostering a young QB. This is why franchises hire "QB gurus" when they draft young talent for their rosters.
  7. also holy poo what an awkward defensive design. It's a cover 1 coverage shell with a man on the Y. Why would they even run that on us? Unless they thought they could create "ghosts?"
  8. Im going to have some fun with this one. Joining in on @Catsfan69and @*FreeFua*'s conversation here. I will say that Darnold definitely missed an opportunity to score on that play. It feels like he rushed his reads, because in the video when he looks at DJ he is just breaking into his route and doesnt appear to be open yet... if SD14 holds for about .5 second more I think he hits DJ in stride..... that being said.... When SD14 looks at DJ first: If SD14 holds onto DJ for .5 sec more: What he does to the corner in the flat zone was pretty impressive. The corner started to drift back into DJ end route, and to bring the corner back up he pump fakes to Laviska, and the corner starts to press up and it open DJ back up. The pump fake to get the CB out of position: That is the good with the bad there. I will take it because it turned into a big gain.
  9. Defenses are built to stop the pass these days. That’s my personal belief to why scoring is down. The heavy scheme we showed today is the anti-modern defense. However, you still need to be be able to pass the ball to win in this league
  10. finding ways to get talented people on the field.
  11. We watch and judge this damn sport so much that we forget that these are actual people.... if you watch the whole video through you really see some relationships and admiration for one another in that locker room. I suggest taking the 3 min to watch this video and the humans in it.
  12. He was in the backfield on a few plays only a couple of feet away from sacking Wilson. It appears we are slowly converting him to that role. I bet out of the bye Chinn is our new Joker back.
  13. The Panthers have been using special teams standout Sam Franklin Jr. more on defense the last two weeks, with Jeremy Chinn playing closer to the line of scrimmage as he did in his rookie year. https://www.panthers.com/news/rapid-reactions-panthers-beat-broncos-23-10
  14. i didnt make the rules.... and I dont think there is anything wrong with that rule.
  15. lookout... Burns is currently is sitting at 4th in the NFL in sacks this year trailing 1st by 2.5....
