Also, consultants are actually tied to a contract that is not relatve to the teams outgoing budget to staff. This means that they are paid a flat fee or hourly. They are not salary based employees. So what Im alluding to is that Fangio may be a consultant, but he also may not be an employee of the philadelphia eagles. He could be brought in when needed and not at the team facilties 40-80 hours per week like the rest of the staff.

It's rare for a team to replace a coordinator with a consultant. Majority of the time the next person up is the positions coach. Consultants dont serve time on the field coaching the players, they spend time coaching the coaches. Plus Dennard Wilson would be the natural replacement for Gannon.

I am sure there is a team that is waiting for Kafka, but the other piece is always going to be asked "how much is Daboll vs Kafka?"

At this point this is where the Rooney rule hits a point of failure. It's a waste of people's time and that sucks for all that is involved. I get what the league is attempting to solve, but I just dont believe the strategy is correct. I believe the compensation of draft picks for hiring minority candidates is a step in the right direction.... but the Rooney rule is dated and not effective.

There is more data to prove that Dean Spanos is more of a bad owner than there is data to support that Tepper is worse. Spanos has known to be a terrible owner for decades.

it's a tweet from a guy who asked Tepper what he thought about Ben Johnson and shared that we have done our homework on the guy... There are tweets circulating that Tepper wants Demceo Ryans as well. Im sure we did our homework on him too. You are looking way too hard into this. I want Ben Johnson and I hope we hire him. However, I have no reason to believe we have already chosen him as HC. All the other candidates would be declining interviews with us because they would know we have already chosen, and we wouldnt waste our time. The way you are trying to portray this just isnt how this process works. we have seen teams in the past who already knew their HC they were going to hire respect the Rooney rule then just interview that single person. We arent doing that, bc we havent chosen our HC yet.
