He's definitely raw, but I think he has the most promise of any QB in this draft. If you liked Trey Lance last year, there is no reason to not like Willis this year. He's not going to be a Day 1 starter, but if I'm riding with Darnold for a year then handing over the reigns to Willis, I'm all for it. He's already been compared to Josh Allen in terms of arm strength and Vick/McNair in terms of escapablity and running with the ball.

He reminds me a lot of Nick Foles when he came out of college.
-
Maybe we can just call up Joe Brady again and run it back
-
Only reason you sawctgat with Horn is because his camp put it out there. I wouldnt say Darnold is an obvious example and isnt motivated to get better. Pretty sure Darnold still trains with Jesse Palmer and Bills QB Josh Allen in the offseason.

CJ Henderson's Tampa performance. Could he become a force in 2022?
NYPantherFan replied to SCO96's topic in Carolina Panthers
Biggest issue for me is Henderson's tackling ability. It's pretty much non-existent and they wiffs just pop out while watching the game. He's a lot like Jackson was early on with not committing to tackling. -
There was a rumor they were going to announce "big news" regarding their HC job. That was before the got into the playoffs. Saw Jim Harbaugh heavily speculated to be that news...

Give me Munchak in a heart beat. Just looked and he played at Penn State, so there in a slight connection to Rhule. He was the oline coach in Pitt while Tepper was there. Plenty of connections
-
Disagree. If I was a potential candidate, I'd be looking at this as an opportunity as a stepping stone to a HC gig. You come in, do your job and improve the offense and you are looking at HC interviews the next season. Worst case scenario, you come in, do your job, and Rhule still sucks and you put yourself in line for interm HC and potential full time gig. If you can't come in and do your job, you probably aren't looking at getting a HC job anyway.

Anthony Lynn is expected to become available after today's games. He should get some consideration in my opinion. I'd take him over Garrett and BOB I think.
-
Watching the press conferences this week, Rhule doesn't seem like a guy who is worried about his job and is looking forward to next year. I have to wonder if all those reports that Tepper was embarrassed was put out by his team as an attempt to motive Rhule and put the pressure on. I don't think he really has any intention of moving on this year. It's always been a 3 year plan from the beginning.

He's actually a name I would have possibly considered if Rhule is forced to change OCs.

Trading Back -- What It Might Look Like
NYPantherFan replied to SetfreexX's topic in Carolina Panthers
This draft is supposedly very deep with oline prospects and of course we don't have the day 2 picks for it. I'd be trading back at all costs to get into the 10-15 range and taking the best lineman available. Likely can grab a 2nd in that scenario and decide from there if I'm trading back any further depending on how the board is falling. -
And yet Steeler fans have wanted him gone gone for several seasons now...

Brady Christensen scores highest ratings of the season at LT again.
NYPantherFan replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Now that LT is taken care of, I guess the question around here from now on should be "Can he play guard?" -
Problem is no one on the defense has a mean bone in their body. Horn is the closest thing to an alpha. There was one series today that was encouraging. I belive Chinn and Brown had back to back sacks followed by YGM closing down on Hill when he went to escape. Glad to see all 3 of them flashing consecutively like that.

Matt Rhule takes off his shirt and quits Antonio Brown style
-
Dude is a more mobile Will Grier. No thanks.
-
Lance is a good comp. I've seen comparisons to Josh Allen in terms of arm strength and Jalen Hurts in terms of mobility. His decision making is his biggest issue right now. He's definitely raw but I think has the most potential out of this whole class. His uncle is also former Panther James Anderson, so at least their are some bloodlines for NFL talent.
-
I have, but he's one of the most physically gifted QBs in this draft. If I'm taking a QB in this draft, I'm taking the one with the most potential and developing him.
-
Matt Corral and Malik Willis are the only two QBs I'd feel comfortable drafting in the 1st round to be honest, and they might not even slide into my top 15-20. This is a horrible year for QBs.

Samir is one of the top salary cap managers in the NFL and is often talked about as a potential GM candidate because of it. It would be incredibly stupid to let him go. Rob Rogers who did all our negotiations previously and kept us in cap hell for all those years with how he structured contracts.
