Problem is no one on the defense has a mean bone in their body. Horn is the closest thing to an alpha. There was one series today that was encouraging. I belive Chinn and Brown had back to back sacks followed by YGM closing down on Hill when he went to escape. Glad to see all 3 of them flashing consecutively like that.

Matt Rhule takes off his shirt and quits Antonio Brown style

Dude is a more mobile Will Grier. No thanks.

Lance is a good comp. I've seen comparisons to Josh Allen in terms of arm strength and Jalen Hurts in terms of mobility. His decision making is his biggest issue right now. He's definitely raw but I think has the most potential out of this whole class. His uncle is also former Panther James Anderson, so at least their are some bloodlines for NFL talent.

I have, but he's one of the most physically gifted QBs in this draft. If I'm taking a QB in this draft, I'm taking the one with the most potential and developing him.
-
Matt Corral and Malik Willis are the only two QBs I'd feel comfortable drafting in the 1st round to be honest, and they might not even slide into my top 15-20. This is a horrible year for QBs.

Samir is one of the top salary cap managers in the NFL and is often talked about as a potential GM candidate because of it. It would be incredibly stupid to let him go. Rob Rogers who did all our negotiations previously and kept us in cap hell for all those years with how he structured contracts.

Panthers reportedly send everyone home due to Covid

99 Problems but the process ain't one. -
Somehow both Jordan and Miller, who were known to be terrible before they even signed here, are worse than what was advertised.

Other then Oline other positions of interest to improve?

He needs to go back to that LB/Big Nickel role he played last year. -

Biggest concern would be LB, FS/SS and DT. -
CJ Henderson would have wiffed on the tackle for sure

I think there is a very real chance Elfein is the starting C next year.

Skip Bayless “the Carolina panthers are a clown show”

Slightly off topic, is there anything more annoying than seeing media outlets use the old Panthers logo on their platforms? It's been years since the change. Get with it... -
Keeping Rhule but replacing assistants
NYPantherFan replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I can see Tepper giving an ultimatum that he has to bring in an OC with NFL experience if he wants to keep his job. That's if Rhule doesn't figure it out on his own like Rivera eventually did. That is the only way he lives to see next season. -
Knowing he came from Pittsburgh, I wonder if Tepper would make a run at Tomlin if he is out after this season...

I hope it's not Daboll. Bills fans are calling for him to be fired after the regression he's had this year.

This is the best front office the Panthers have probably put together in franchise history.

I have a feeling it was done earlier in the week and just happened to be announced yesterday. They said on the Quick Blitz podcast last Monday that something was going down because Steven Drummond was on the call during Rhules press conference and he's never on the call unless changes are happening.

At least Nixon actually called plays while at Baylor and ran a pretty good offense. It will be interesting to see how he fairs.

Does the stadium audio seem way too loud this year?
NYPantherFan replied to Donald LaFell's topic in Carolina Panthers
You can hear the music on the TV broadcast perfectly clear. That shouldn't happen.. -
Trade Deadline is Tomorrow, Who do we buy, who do we sell?
NYPantherFan replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Probably should check back in on our Buffalo pipeline. Saw some mention that Cody Ford could be shopped as he hasn't been in the starting lineup for a few weeks now. Even at his worst, he has to be an upgrade over what we are starting at LG/RG. -
Through 3 games, the passing game is clearly running through DJ Moore (31 targets, 21 catches, 285 yds and a TD). But where has Robbie Anderson been? He has been nearly non-existent in this offense, only accounting for 11 targets with 5 catches for 103 yds and a TD. Half those yards came on one play. For comparison, Terrace Marshall has been targeted 14 times with 11 catches for 91 yds. Obviously CMC gets fed his fair share as well. Is it time to be concerned about his lack of production after signing his big extension? It would be interesting to see the tape to see if he is getting open or if Darnold is just looking to find Moore, although it seems like he is buying enough time and going through all his progressions. Thoughts?

I have questions about Brady's play calling, but I'm not placing all the blame on him. At some point you need to look at the lack of execution with the called play. He schemed Ian Thomas open for a TD and Darnold threw a bad ball. Should have been an easy TD. Unfortunately that led to the fumble that ended the drive. The throw to Marshall in the endzone was just off the mark. A better throw and I think that's an easy TD as well. If those two throws are placed better, I don't think we are having these conversations about Brady this morning.
