I just dont think its fair to say bad teams trade picks for good players the Rams have been very successful because they have traded picks for proven superstars. I would much rather have Jalen Ramsey instead of 2 first round picks. Imagine if we made the trade, would you rather have Jalen Ramsey or Derrick Brown and Jaycee Horn? Id probably rather have the guy who I know for sure is an All Pro player instead of two guys who i HOPE can one day be that. Teams like the Dolphins and Jets and Jags always suck because they trade away proven star players for draft picks then find out its really hard and theres luck needed to draft players that become All Pro talents. The Dolphins sent Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Steelers for a first rounder and I couldnt even tell you who the Dolphins drafted with the pick they got

One played on some of the most talented teams of the era while the other one has played for perennial losers. Not calling Kirk an elite QB by any means but hes light years better than anyone we have and probably alot better than anyone in the next 2 QB classes

Romo attempted only 100 more passes in his career than Kirk has so far Romo career 65% completion Kirk career 66% completion Romo 7.9 career YPA Kirk 7.7 career YPA Romo 248 TDs/117 INT Kirk 223 TDs/91 INT Romo 97 career QB rating Kirk 98 career QB rating You can talk mentalities and play styles but production is virtually identical and in fact it would be hard to find 2 QBs with such similar production to each other. Both pretty damn good QBs that for whatever reason got all the blame for the teams misfortunes

Never understood the hate Cousins gets. Hes pretty much Tony Romo and would easily be the 2nd best QB weve ever had. If we can get a favorable trade and draft OL in the first suddenly we would have some hope again

3 winning seasons in 9 years lol. Went 6-10 after bringing back the majority of a Super Bowl team the previous year

Panthers have to “make a true investment” in the OL

We have like 3 picks this year and several holes. Need to stockpile picks -
Sam Darnold has arrived for the Panthers

Agreed. Our best bet is to have a lame duck year next year with Rhule and Darnold we should at worst have the number 6 pick this year. Trade down with someone picking in the teens and see if we can pick up their first for next year also. Draft the best guard or center available and let Rhule and Sam carry us to another top 5 pick next year where we would hopefully have a Top 5 pick and another first to get a QB and either another lineman or WR to pair with like the Bengals did with Burrow i know its gloomy right now but this doesnt have to be the 5 year purgatory people think it will be. Sacrifice next year without letting Rhule burn any additional resources and things might be looking good going into 2023. New coach, rookie QB like a Bryce Young or CJ Stroud, a revamped OLine and should still have some young core left on defense like Horn, CJ, Chinn, Burns, YGM. Hell id even sit McCaffrey all and stuff him in a hyperbaric chamber the whole year and see if he can still spin after 2 years to get healthy. It kinda worked with Jonathan Stewart lol -

Panthers keeping Rhule next year
KillaCamNewton replied to CAPantherFan's topic in Carolina Panthers
The result will be exactly like the defense. We’ll get younger and more talented, look great to start the season, then smarter coaches will figure out how to attack and scheme against it, and Rhule and Co wont be able to adjust our OLine is bad, but ive seen worse OLines and the team still be successful because they figure out ways to mask the weakness -
Sam Darnold likely starting again for last few games

Why is this so hard to understand lol -
Sam Darnold likely starting again for last few games

I unfortunately sat in section 124 all season watching Sam Darnold what QB in this system under this coach with this OLine has looked capable of playing QB for a sustained period of time? -

Theres no stans. But im not sure how you cant see that going forward it makes more sense to give reps to the 24 year old with all the physical tools that we have to pay next year instead of the 32 year old with a broken down body -

Youre not wrong. And Sam is like 24 years old and is as physically gifted as all but a select few QBs in the league. He’s accurate, has a strong arm, and is athletic. All his problems are between the ears. At least with a good coach and an OLine that made him more confident there could be something there. Rhule wasnt wrong that Sam could be a huge reward project with the right coaching, he was just wrong thinking he was the “right coaching” on the other hand you have Cam who is past his prime and would need a bionic shoulder to get through a season -
Doug Pederson on how to build a "quarterback room"
KillaCamNewton replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lowly Panthers? That was like the 4th game of the season in a year the Panthers started 6-2 and looked like a Super Bowl favorite until the debale in Pittsburgh after the bye also the Bears playoff game was the year after they won the Super Bowl -
Am I the only one that doesnt think its the worst idea to let Cam and Darnold compete for the job next year, assuming we can shape up the OLine and actually get a competent coaching staff? We already have to pay Darnold next year and both QBs have not been the most durable anyways so likely whoever doesnt win the starting job will probably still have to start some games anyway coaching, scheme, supporting talent, and OLine matters. Cam has never had all those things at once, and Darnold has really never had any of them. the last 2 years have shown me anybody behind this OLine with these coaches will struggle, why reach on a QB this year and get the same results instead of possibly getting a couple lineman that can be here for 10 years? We also arent getting rid of CMC’s contract so might as well run it back with him too. I dont buy that hes all of a sudden injury prone, anyone is spraining their ankle when a 300lb lineman falls on it

When Rhule/Tepper said this was a 5 year rebuild that should have been a red flag just off the top of my head in recent memory -Rams went from 1st overall pick to Super Bowl with 2 years in between -49ers went from 2nd overall pick to Super Bowl the next season -Cardinals went from 1st overall pick to leading their division as of today with 2 years in between -Bengals went from 1st overall pick to leading their division as of today with 1 year in between -Browns went from 1st overall pick to divisional round with 2 years in between

Brown was wide open in the back of the endzone

Went to the Target on Metropolitan the other day and forgot my mask. I asked the lady at the front if they had extras. She said “no and you dont need it, people just might look at you weird but you can still come in” at least she was honest

Theres zero science or logic any of the protocols follow If the protocols are about “stopping the spread” then how come if you can still get it when vaccinated why did they push players to get vaccinated just to make them sit out if they get it? Why are they allowing 70k people to sit in a stadium? if its about “player safety” then why do vaccinated, asymptomatic players have to sit out?
