I was listening on my way back from the coast and it sounded like he was pulling an Ochoa from the World Cup a few back

Beat the brakes off of them! The switch to more of a 4-2-3-1 with Swiderski at the 10 has been huge. Really would like to see Santos get a start on Sunday

Christian Lattanzio extension incoming
MtnJax replied to MechaZain's topic in Charlotte Football Club
I think that was one of MAR’s problems. Too focused on tactics and not just on letting good players do what they do. CL seems to have simplified what he wants then to do and then just go do it while keeping intensity up -
Christian Lattanzio extension incoming
MtnJax replied to MechaZain's topic in Charlotte Football Club
I had gotten off of the CL wagon but I think the extension is fine. He’s shown he’s not above changing things and being flexible which I don’t think MAR ever was. Moving Swiderski to the 10 has paid off the last 3 games and I hope we’ll see Santos start here the last 3 games -
Baker’s still been better than Sam. I think if Darnold was starting we wouldn’t have been in any of the games because he would’ve turned the ball over too much

Seeing Swiderski’s goal for Poland, man I hope Nuno can get him deliveries like Lewandoski gave him. That must be an amazing feeling for Karol to get that delivery from a living legend in their home country

I don’t think MLS would go for their newest expansion team in a market they’ve wanted being shipped off. Plus Texas is already kinda saturated with Dallas, Austin and Houston. Hell there’s only 2 NFL teams in Texas

Damn so Woodland’s fully closed now? I had heard it wasn’t great after the ownership change. My family loved that place but my parents went last year and said it wasn’t good anymore
-
Not sure. I used to use the hell out of Boone Takeout when I was in school. They were DoorDash before that was even an idea

Booneshine Brewing in East Boone area is fast becoming a hot spot. Boone Bagelry is still kicking around and one of my favorites for breakfast if I’m in town

Santos needs to start next game as the 10. He was putting the ball in some dangerous scoring areas and that run for his goal, we haven’t seen that all season Alcivar playing as an extra 6 in the double pivot looked good as well. He actually looked comfortable and somewhat competent

LMAO HOLY fuging poo
-
Saw the Santos goal. It was sick
-
Lmao we’re toast. Turning this off
-
I need this game as a fuging comedown after that App State game
-
It must make you mad that someone else is having fun and getting recognition. Must be sad to not want anyone else to be happy
-
He was a good signing for experience and leadership, but that’s kinda fallen by the wayside. Like, it was a blatant elbow that isn’t getting past VAR. really put the team in a bad spot
-
Fuchs. Red card. Don’t wanna see him on the field anymore. Let Mora or someone else go at LB
-
Swiderski at the 10 might be his best position for The Crown. Beautiful cross into Rios for the goal
-
Just suck that the one DP MF we have can’t even see the field. I think we need to buy down Alcivar and Joz’s DP contracts to open them and then save them for legit DPs like Toronto did
-
Soccer and football are 2 very different things. You only get 2 short windows in soccer to bring new people in vs football where you can make trades and signings all season Plus, MLS is different in how contracts and money are structured. Only DP players can be paid w/e. Everyone has like a cap of $1.5M. That’s how Toronto landed 2 studs from Italy. They had 2 DO spots open. We’re a first year franchise, learning how MLS operates. What were you expecting?

I wanted to hope we could get a win after I sat through App’s loss in Boone. I was too tired to care by the end of this fiasco
-
So over the “build out of the back” bullshit. How about, on goal kicks, we just boot them? Might not give up goals that way
-
Lowes has a league wide sponsor deal with the NFL, so Tepper might end w/e with the Panthers but they’ll still be there
