Ian Rapoport on Bryce: "Everyone had Bryce Young #1"
Donald LaFell replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
This would have been a great situation for Wilks honestly. Build a culture while we recoup. Keep expectations low. -
Julius Peppers' hallmark — quiet leadership
Donald LaFell replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah that was awk as hell. Glad Peppers got to see outside the Carolinas a bit. -
If anything he was prob a detriment to young guys at times. I doubt he’s ever really tried or synced up with WRs before. This could be the first time ever since he’s been retired. I think that Drew Carter trained with him but that’s all I remember. Could be wrong, haven’t been paying close attention these last few years hah.

Julius Peppers' underrated skill: Blocking kicks
Donald LaFell replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
This reminds me of that awful 2005 cowboys game. I can’t recall if it was Lucas or Peppers who allegedly blocked the kick, IIRC the ball definitely changed its wiggle a little bit even if you couldn’t tell they made contact.- 1 reply

Training Camp Day 2: Electric Boogaloo
Donald LaFell replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
For a while it was just us and the Ravens that had stellar 1st round drafting records -
Training Camp Day 2: Electric Boogaloo
Donald LaFell replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
The jury will be out on Bryce until about mid season no matter how he plays so I wouldn’t get too worked up. Just gotta wait it out. Can’t wait to go through this whole process again! -
This feels like speeches where the teleprompter fails lol

2024 Carolina Panthers record prediction
Donald LaFell replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we have over 3 wins it’ll be a late season run from a new QB. -
Tepper's revolving door continues
Donald LaFell replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think he grew up in this area and went NC State. His previous roles were only with the cards. I assume he came back for family. I guess this role wasn’t a fit. I hope things work out for Wilson regardless of the scenario. -
The team has to give Bryce a fair shake but I can’t help but already be looking in to 2025.

I feel uneasy with a kicker who’s feeling undervalued, I feel like that brings in a whole new kind of mind goblin that could plague his game. Also he is def not worth it. I can’t think of many who would be. He’d need a huge leg and accuracy, I don’t think he’s done anything from 55 plus

Yeah before the elections most of the council members said they would give money to build a new stadium. The observer and other journalists usually ask them boilerplate questions like that to all of them. Only one person I liked said they would vote no. So it was pretty much settled even before the election.

Has anyone here ever met David Tepper in person?
Donald LaFell replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t think you could judge anyone based on a single meeting. Some jerks are very charming and some nice folks might come across as cantankerous or stuck up. -
Feels like the team hasn’t bottomed out yet and we’re years from competing. The Young trade is devastating. If we’re lucky the team will draft well but it’ll take years. i try to be optimistic but it seems guaranteed that Young is going to suck again. How many rookie QBs with terrible seasons turn it around?
