It's a tough game. Win all the time or be open to immediate replacement. Guys know that. If guys don't, they learn real quick. Our ownership in my opinion is more forgiving and loyal than most. Surely at least some of the motivation of this is financial but in the end we don't witness the harshness of this game like some others do. Everybody likes Riv as a guy. That has been discussed ad nauseam. But if there is even the slightest chance that he will be replaced, and I believe the odds are much greater than slight, I applaud a GM who is getting ahead of the game. No reason to wait until after the Super Bowl to get started. Sure, first impression is disappointment at the lack of discretion. Fans are worried about winning games this week and this year. In reality however these are big boys making big boy money who need to constantly demonstrate their ability to not only operate in the face of pressure but flourish in it. Whether Ron is fighting for this job in Charlotte or his future in the biz anywhere else, we will all see how he responds to it. The only regret for me in Ron's case is the certain receipt of the same question over and over and over for the rest of the year by hack local newsies thinking they can treat the guy with disrespect now since his ticket is likely punched. But that's the media for ya. A virtual scourge of anything of prominence or popularity.

Keep bringin it D. You can begin to solidify a league-wide reputation with another dominating performance today. Do YOUR thing Cam. Tuck and run. Roll out. Throw some guys open today. Mechanics. Mechanics. Mechanics. HAVE FUN!! Stay outta the way Rivera. Let our play making QB make plays with his creativity. If you put him on a leash you may as well start DA.- 1,970 replies

One of my favorite Panthers That pick against Kurt Warner on that bright Sunday afternoon (2010?) sealing a very tough victory for us on a day when Kurt was truly on fire is the way I will remember you my friend. What a play.

you don't sound so smart so i'm going to keep it simple the combination of what we've heard from his mouth and what we've seen on the field thus far gives anyone plenty of cause for concern about mental proficiency. Lots of great athletes fail as QB's in the NFL. It's not uncommon. He has done some boneheaded stuff, he holds the ball, he cannot seem to make a decision and his mistakes come in bunches. This is not hard to see that he's not in the game mentally at times. as far as racial profiling.. you went there pal. My guess is that it was a short trip for ya. Good luck with that. Looks real fun.

so you hear what you want to hear you're one of "those" you see asshole, i said he sulks, mumbles, and comes off just a little smarter than a crackhead. I did not mention lingo, slang, swagger or whatev-the fug you think you read in my post. go back and re-read. Need a link? if you need me to expand on "just north of crackhead" I can. But you should have started there instead of firing unfounded and inaccurate accusations. he stutters he stammers he goes all over the place making all sorts of disconnected analogies when asked a direct question these are similar characteristics to that of a crackhead or a person with some other sort of mental challenges if such a person were ever interviewed. hope that helps

so he's dumb because he's not white?? what is your point?? i don't want to be the guy's friend. I don't need to identify with him. I need the synapses in his head to fire fast enough to make the correct play under pressure in the NFL hence my questioning his intelligence
-
I don't think this guy is smart enough. I've heard him do interviews. He sounds just north of crackhead most of the time when he's not sulking and mumbling hell of an athlete. off the charts measurables.... is the guy halfway intelligent?
-
maybe he can be a good fullback

that was a rocket they may be on to something with the quicker tempo Cam looks much sharper when he is not having to wait around (reads: has time to think too much) Oline may not be great but they get an advantage when the other team cannot sub pedal to the metal shula... let's go!
-
not on oline our oline is what it is we have to scheme around it and go quick and short our QB cannot hold the ball like he is either.
-
