  1. Damn, some of y'all are just stodgy old men.
  2. I mean, that's great for people who can watch it during the day, but most people are working or going to school during the day, and that's why they re-broadcast it during the evenings.
  3. I mean, haters gonna hate, but Sir Charles, a.k.a. the Round Mound of Rebound, with his somewhat surly self, said that the Olympics are the world's greatest sporting event, and I tend to agree. Just watching Cole Hocker and Quincy Hall dig deep was fantastic. So did Noah Lyles by the thinnest of margins. There's something about seeing desire and a person willing themselves to victory that just never gets old. I'm all for it!
  4. Should I watch it? I mean, I generally watch the Olympics at night. I believe the Men's 200 is tomorrow, not to mention the Women's 400 meter hurdles. Yes, I know the live races will be tomorrow afternoon (and I believe school is out), so...I guess I could make room for both, but I may have some significant family business to take care of that may require my attention. I don't know, it's looking like I'm going to forego the Charlotte sh¡t show tomorrow evening, and I rarely do that even in the preseason.
  5. I mean, who are we kidding? If he's gonna suck, he's gonna suck. A couple of series in a couple of preseasons games ain't gonna matter. Y'all can fool yourselves if you want. I guess it'll make you feel better. Me? The regular season is where the rubber meets the road, and I'm fully prepared for us to end up in a ditch. I won't be the one driving. I'll be drinking though...
  6. There is a "short, medium and long," as classified by the NFL. Short is anything less than 10 yards. Medium is 10 to 19, and long is 20 and over. Now why it's that way, I don't know. I'm sure that the statisticians had their reasons, but I can assure you that it had nothing specifically to do with Bryce Young. It's likely that those are the most numerous types of passes, and perhaps there is no significant difference between moving the ball 20 yards down field or 50 yards down field when it comes to actual winning. I don't know. You also have to think that there is something said about using ball control and the clock to bring about successful outcomes as well. Like I said, I don't know. But I can tell you with surety that it had nothing to do with supporting Bryce Young.
  7. He hasn't played up to first round status, much less the first pick. Let's keep it a buck.
  8. If we need help so bad, Eric Ebron is out there likely just waiting for a chance to get back into action.
  9. Honestly, I didn't even know that Puka had a brother in the NFL until I saw it on NFL.com, and I assumed he was a rookie, but turns out that he came in in 2022 (but turned out to be a camp body). You gotta target the younger brothers if looking at the Nacuas and St. Browns.
  10. NFL types, including writers and, more importantly, statisticians define a deep pass as any pass that travels 20 air yards or more from the line of scrimmage. People may not like it, or want to accept it, but it is what it is. There is some uniformity---and continuity, actually---there.
  11. Well, that's not necessarily true. Most NFL types consider a pass 20 yards or more as a deep ball.
  12. It wasn't a bad pass, just not a perfect one. It doesn't make any difference anyway because it's practice, and not even a full squad on that play and no pads to boot. I think that choosing this play, of this practice, to criticize is just gratuitous hating. We're not going to learn anything from it, positive or negative, in the long run. There will be way more meaningful plays to critique in the near future.
  13. I mean, Juan, come on, dude... That ship has sailed. Legette is a Panther now for better or for worst. I would think that you'd be hoping for the best. At least give him some appreciable time to be the best that he can be and make the transition to the NFL before you start trashing him and spamming the place with unnecessary negativity about him.
  14. Yeah, he ain't gonna last with this type o' sh¡t.
