Pretty dumb considering that I said that if I were picking, I'd probably pick Thieneman, but as usual some of you Huddlers truly seem like you just have a difficult time with more than any thing that's surface analysis. Hell, if I didn't know y'all's Huddle face anyway, I'd think that some of you just have issues with reading comprehension, but I'm going to give y'all that much credit. So, I guess it's just nonsensical trolling.

Honestly, I think Pauline may be right. If Thieneman is there, he just might be the pick. My thing is what we would have to give up to move up if he's still sitting there at...let's say 16. If there's no movement and he's actually sitting there at 19, it will come down to how we value the safety position--whether or not we believe his positional value justifies the pick. Emmanwori wasn't picked until the second. I bet a few teams wished they had picked him last year in the first. I'm not gonna lie, Thieneman would probably be my pick.

Benjamin Solak on Panthers draft needs

That's pretty stupid, considering that plenty of football analysts say that we should pick a WR high. So, believe it or not, you're the one in the minority. Tells you how smart you are. -

Blah blah blah. You don't stop building your team because the QB hasn't shown you the consistency that you want. Anything other than keeping pressing on is managerial incompetence. One monkey doesn't stop the show; you ultimately replace the damned monkey. Coker hasn't shown any consistency to be a WR2, much less anything more. At this point we can't even rely on him to stay on the field. He's a solid receiver, but doesn't provide the speed or dynamicism that will open up the offense; That's the real elephant in the room. We're going to draft a receiver on day one or two; I'd bet on it. Maybe not a lot of WR1 upside, but some quality upside is definitely there in this draft. -
Daniel Jeremiah mocks KC Concepcion to the #Panthers 👏👏👏

I guess working on hands does work? -

Of course he could just be putting on a show, but I get the impression that there are a few guys ahead of Sadiq. TE just isn't a priority in our offense. From what we ask them to do, I guess a committee is good enough.

They would have to move up ahead of the Vikings to get Thieneman. I don't think they'd do it.

Oh, he had world.class.speed, which I mentioned, but you appear to be correct about his twitchiness. After just a quick Google, apparently it was his inability to understand route concepts is what really led to his journeyman status in the league. Depending upon whom you look at, most say Concepcion has a good understanding of routes (but, of course, there's always room for growth). But, like Ginn, at least to this stage, Concepcion has had his fair share of drops. -
It is time to Consider the Likelihood of WR at #19

And you know this how? Stay in your lane, junior. I'm pretty sure I'm a lot older than you, am a whole lot more experienced with life, and have watched football in earnest probably longer than you've been alive. I agree, but I was talking directly about injuries. As far as the economics, I'm assuming that Moton would have to take a pay cut and would probably be compelled to if he wants to stay in Charlotte. He seems like a thoughtful and practical guy. He knows that he's getting older and realizes the nature of the business. Hell, last time there were were questions on whether he would be here the last season. Dan and Brandt were dialing up the pressure. I don't think they're going to go into any type of contractual extension discussions without having a backup plan--i.e., a person that will appear to be Moton's replacement. And, to be honest, that person may be Moton's replacement depending how things go. But, I get the impression that Moton wants to be in Charlotte (unless he's developed some undying desire to chase a championship somewhere else). -

I just don't get the Moton thing. He played in 16 games last season (and the playoff game). He's had worse seasons from that perspective. His health hasn't really been an issue, and his actual play is still solid. Why are you throwing dirt on him? Some tackles play well into their thirties. -
Putting aside the obviously different playing speed and ability to separate by simply looking at them play, to put it bluntly, do these two profiles sound anything alike? In short, Metchie is kinda meh and Concepcion has juice. Believe it or not, sometimes the juice is worth the squeeze. Many analysts, including Reception Perception's Matt Harmon, thinks it is in Concepcion's case.

No one's really talking about DT for the Panthers, and our DBs should really be straight for the coming season except for a free safety.

Meh, it happens. It was his first draft. And the story for JB hasn't even begun yet. He was largely considered a three-round back that some said was better than Bijan. If he has another serious injury this season, then he may be a "wasted" pick. He still has the potential to be an exceptional back if he can get on the field and stay on it.
