It really depends on how much "effort" boston was putting in during their slump.... Im leaning boston but only on the money line Torontos goaltending and defense is a mess, if Boston isn't affected by the resting/obvious low effort slump they had I could see a blowout... if not I think it could be a high scoring toss up.

Honestly doesn't matter tbh this years Canes don't need injury advantages.... The Islanders are penalized close to 4x a game if they commit that or the 5 a game they did last year this will be a very very short series.

The only hope they have Is if Varlomov can go God mode and the Canes PP reverts to back what it was last post season without Guentzel, Svechnikov, Orlov .

Take a look at who he's played while "hot" not to mention Freddie is Hotter.... The Islanders aren't gonna score more than 2 4x.... Remember Rod doesn't line match in the regular season I just don't see them scoring enough for this to be a close series.... This isn't last year our top scorer isn't gonna be Jesper Fast,

Even if Sorokin finds last years form I don't think it will be enough for the Isles we beat in 6 with freaking MacKenzie Mckeathern on Ahos wing the Canes ability to score is much greater than last year... These are the players the Canes didn't have last season when we played you. Guentzel Svechnikov Teravainen Orlov Anderson And Jarvis has made a huge leap up to being a 33 goal scorer (honestly if Rod hadn't glued him to Staal for half the season he probably would have gotten 40) Every one of these is a massive upgrade over what we trotted out agaist the Isles last season.... couple that with Sorokins poor year and yes I'd be shocked if this series was close.... on the scoreboard or otherwise.

Thank God no more meaningless games! Trying to pick those when teams already clinched was awful! My easy pick for Canes Isles? Canes and the under! I think the Canes are gonna hold the Isles to one goal or less in home games! If your feeling Bold take Canes and -1.5

Fast being the goal leader just explains how few scoring options we had.... If you stopped Necas and Aho last year all we had was those depth pieces.... I expect our first line will be very very hard to shut down this year

Interesting they sat a lot of guys who would have played in a playoff scenario due to our depth.... the good news is this is the healthiest we have ever had our squad for the playoffs!

Svechnikov has played better as of late he seems to have his confidence back, although I agree I'd rather switch him and Turbo. He's not Breaking up JAG unless he's forced too which I understand his sick feeds to Aho/Jarvis are awesome.. a part of me wishes he would go G-A-J S-T-N N-S-M Because Turbo is a better option at C for a scoring line than Drury

I'm not a fan of that I love Pyotr but he hasn't been good in past playoffs... If Anderson starts and is hot I feel like he needs to ride him to victory, Freddie's Numbers this year are pretty much a mirror of his playoff performance last season, I think with Freddie in net we have the goalie advantage vs the Isles and it's at worst a push in any series...

Still trying to decide the only one I'm sure of so far is Wild -1.5 the rest depend on what lineups, If they all don't rest I'm gonna go Puck lines (these two are jockeying for postion) Knights Kings Flames Wild They are all facing bad teams that they have owned this year... And I've already won covers on every one of the matchups with the same teams so....

Just got my tickets to game 1 so the Canes are guaranteed to win they are 38-0 with me in attendance since 2006 which includes 10 playoff games including wins over the Sabres,Bruins and 2 wins over the Isles!

Eeesh luckily I picked the over on them if they had been alive still I think they play harder and that's a 4-2 or 5-3 pens win... I think the Canes take the Isles out in four or five games.... Yea we had some low scoring Games in the past but this season we just have too much firepower for them to compete couple that with having Freddie for round one (yay first time) they will struggle to score and if we get 3 goals I don't see them being able to win.

Idk Turbo is great defensively just but like Jarvis it feels like a waste to have him with that line.

I cashed out my four pick overs at a little profit good thing too the late games disappointed score wise

I didn't feel super confident in much seeing as team effort would be hard to gauge I ended up betting over on all the lines and I've already hit the first two legs.
