  1. I watched him alot his first 2 season starting. He would look like a 1st rounder on one play and follow that up by looking like a camp fodder guy on the next. A pro day is not going to change that. Did he look much better this past year? I really don't know because I did not see 1 game he played.
  2. I watched Wilson play 2 games this year and by the 2nd series of the 1st game I thought he was the best of the QB in this draft outside of Lawrence. Maybe even including Lawrence. Everyone else has questions. I just don't get how everyone can think a guy who has started 1 season at an FCS school is a top 5 pick. He had a great year but even if he had started in the ACC or SEC I would still be a little scared to pick him top 5. Maybe a little later in the first round I would not have a problem but he has to learn alot before you can plan on starting him. I know Cam had only 1 year of starting at Auburn and that worked out pretty good but Mark Sanchez only started 1 year at USC and not so much for him. It works both ways. At 15 or 20 I could get behind Lance but at 8? When you have a chance to draft a guy in the top 10 you want something you can depend on at least to be good. Jordan Gross, Luke, Peppers, CMC. Lance may be better than all the other QB's drafted before him he just scares me
  3. If 2020 would have been a normal year it have been over 200 million this year and we would have had over 50 million this offseason.
  4. The refs might have a problem if we had 13 players on the field. Most defenses would look good if you put 13 players on the field.
  5. I just hope she is seeing the future and not doing something with Watson that will get him another court case.
  6. Move Scott to LT and Daley to LG and Little to Gastonia and I would feel better about that line.
  7. Horn had a 42" vertical and a 11' board jump so maybe he can just jump in the car with Rhule and come home with him.
  8. It is a 1 year deal with 4 voidable years added to the end of the deal. The extra 4 years void, from what I have read, on Feb 25 of 2022. And yes the remaining bonus hits the cap in 2022 as just dead cap.
  9. You can spread out the signing bonus over 5 years. Making his cap hit much lower than what is would be otherwise.
  10. They get beat up. You can blame some of that to the SEC and who they play, but the way I have always heard it most of their players get beat up in practice more than they do in the games. Then they get to the NFL and they are just not the same player anymore. Not all of them, but alot are like that.
  11. Yes you can. Or later if you want, as long as you get them signed before camp starts.
  12. I was at a Kentucky game maybe 6 or 7 years ago and they had him back there throwing balls at halftime for some charity or something. Believe it or not he was probably up to close to 400 lb then. I don't remember why he passed away but that, I am sure, did not help.
  13. When all the new guys salaries get added the minimum salaries will be 780,000 not 660,000. But we don't have 7 draft picks currently, we have 8. But the guys in the 5th and 6th round won't met the 780,000 bottom level.
  14. Fox cost almost the same as what Obada would have cost us against the cap had we tendered him. Fox is 3 years younger and had more production. I think the difference is like 300k more for Fox. So there is you replacement.
  15. I don't know why everyone thinks our draft picks will cost so much against the cap? This is the offseason, only the top 51 players count against the cap. So if you add 1 player that counts against the cap, you take the lowest guy that counts off the cap. Rookies will probably count about 5 million against the cap, total. Hell, rounds 5-7 won't count at all because they will not be as high as the lowest guy on the cap currently.
  16. I think it was 2006. But we signed Mike Wahl, Keshawn, Ken Lucas, Kemo and I might be missing someone. We were coming off the NFC Championship loss to Seattle and Jake really had no one to throw the ball to but Steve the year before. I think that was the year that Wharton started at LT and Gross at RT. But that was the most big names and active I ever remember us being. This year we are active, just a lot of WTF is that guy.
  17. He's not a bad corner and he is 28. But if he thinks anyone is giving him 8 or 9 million this offseason, I think he has missed the boat.
