Stanley Cup Playoffs: Carolina Hurricanes Game Thread

Youre right in that it doesn't matter to the team. They'd much rather have a sweep. Bad officiating is extending series. Benefits somebody. -
Stanley Cup Playoffs: Carolina Hurricanes Game Thread
L-TownCat replied to Harbingers's topic in Carolina Panthers
I doubt getting called out bothered them. Game 3 gave Nashville a home win in front of their crowd, it means Carolina wont advance in Nashville and will most likely get to celebrate at home. Thats just good TV scheduling bud. -
01/05/1997 Divisional Game vs Dallas (Refs have always been bad)

I watched the full broadcast again and, wow. The no-calls in this game are questionable to say the least. Any way, it was a fun watch, if it even shows on here? -

RB/FB Roster Projections-Who Stays? Who Goes?

More than likely. I'm just not familiar with this FO enough yet to guess how they will manage their "hidden gems". -
RB/FB Roster Projections-Who Stays? Who Goes?

Agreed. I can still recall Belichick poaching our draft pick. Also a full back I think? -

If they are high on them will they risk waivers? -

Pretty much. It will put a hell of a decision on the LB's. -

The RB room is loaded. The only thing we should look at here is how well they’re going to do. CMC will not just cut his touches. He wants the ball. I don’t see him being on the sidelines very often. The object may be to create options with him ON the field rather than options to sub him out? TT and CH will make Christians life a lot easier. Even with the same touches, the defense will not be able to focus on CMC with the same attention as before. More blocking, better QB play (hopefully) a more varied and open playbook, Christian could end up being more productive with less wear on the same touches. Spread out the Defense, and watch Christian do magic in the open field. -
Ron "learning from his mistakes" in Carolina
L-TownCat replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
It is what it is? He picked a bad day to have a bad day. Or some other word salad nonsense he would trot out on Mondays. Oh, did he admit mistakes? Ummm, no. Not one that I recall. -

I thought it was because Ron doesn't understand how to manage the clock or evaluate his roster. Marty sucked ass dont get me wrong but the two of them together was a special kind of stupid. -

Panthers fall in new ESPN Power Rankings

Teams shouldn't be ranked this way. It should be in tiers. Super Bowl Contenders Playoff Teams Bubble Teams (<-We Are Here) (Talented roster, dependent on QB play) Maybe Next Year Teams -
My #1 is opening day 2003. I went with my family. I mean we rolled in deep, 15-20 of us. We (and 73,000) boo'd Rodney Peete and his -1 yards passing in the first half off the field. Fast forward to 4th & 12 and that was the first time I ever felt the Earth move beneath my feet.

A person could do some seriously evil poo to me and still never achieve the level of seething hatred I hold, like an eternal flame, for that SOB.

Superb Owls are more likely to be held in a dome. Domes have turf. Thats all the backstory needed.

Neat thread. -Anthony Johnson, a 1 hit wonder, gave the franchise its 1st 1000 yard rusher in '96. (The faves: Hoover,Spoon, Al Wallace were cool too)

The eye test says he can do it. College tape says he can do it. The FO says he can do it. The Coach says he can do it. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say its a real possibility he can do it.

The evolution to being a perennial winner.

Great post. 1 question. When we have 40-50+ year history, are we gonna complain that we don’t have 75-100 year history like other teams? We can’t catch up. -
