  1. The next draft or 2 needs to be spent on the trenches. Until you have that settled skill positions won’t even matter. (unless we get #1 then you gotta look at QBs… again)
  2. Meh… ppg are up across the league. Rule changes and an emphasis on more scoring is going to rewrite the record books anyway. We are bad, don’t get me wrong, but the “historic-ness” is less than advertised.
  3. He sure did. The league is funny that way. And as sad as it is to say, those teams had more talent to work with.
  4. You have to look at QBs, but I’d keep an eye out for pass rush options.
  5. Hurney used to IR half the roster in losing seasons to give himself an excuse. So I’ve seen numbers like it, but actual injuries… idk?
  6. He’s a rookie too. Hopefully he can identify it, understand it and learn from it. IMO he still looks like the best HC prospect we’ve had in years. Not to mention this roster wasn’t great to begin with and with injuries it’s down right ugly.
  7. Chubba toting the rock at a good 5ypc clip so obviously we start throwing passes to the flats that get blown up. Tremble got ktfo’d, Clowney hurt, XL hurt, game plan real sus.
  8. I’m still not upset with this team. The offense is having an off day and the defense is decimated by injuries. This poo happens. What can ya do?
  9. This defense is not capable of keeping this team in a game. The offense has to carry the load and they’re shitting the bed.
  10. While you do have some troll-ish takes, this is one time where I agree with your assessment. No matter the compensation for Dionte, we lose that trade 100/100 times. The better risk is tying to re-sign him and try to build with him.
  11. I understand the fear we can’t re-sign him and he walks while we get nothing…(as usual) but nobody is giving us a pick that could replace his production. A 3rd seems more than most would offer and that doesn’t help us any more than having him the rest of the season. His groin is more worrisome than trade rumors.
  12. My whole attitude towards the team has flipped. I was angry and jaded. Hypercritical and easily triggered at every little mistake because we didn’t look like a NFL team. We look like one now and I no longer feel anger when I see a mistake. I can accept it for what it is and look forward to the next opportunity. It’s like a switch flipped. I believe we’re on to something here boys.
  13. We always had trouble running the ball against it. And back then, if we couldn’t run the ball we were screwed.
  14. IF I was going to complain about the defense, my complaint would be running a base 3-4. I hate the 3-4, I’ve never even liked the 3-4 except when we ran it in the 90’s and I didn’t know any better.
  15. It’s not going to improve much as our entire front 7 is injured or old. The team is, however, functioning. Let’s relish that for a bit before we bemoan a tattered defensive unit.
  16. Agreed. It just got a lot tougher going forward with the injuries piling up, but the offense is competent and capable. Canales is going to be a good HC for us. Things are trending up in Carolina for the first time in a long time.
  17. It’s not going our way today but it’s still a better product than what we’re used to. I can watch this and support the team. Been a while since I could do both.
  18. Great 80 yard drive. Way to cap it off with a TD! Let’s do this!!
  19. I’m ok with it. The Bengals are selling out on the run but we still have to run it.
