Panthers Training Camp Notes and Photos - Day 10
L-TownCat replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Garfield is pampered, so what? Heathcliff is a stray that would better serve as animal shelter compost. -

As opposed to the not funny, con artist, dumpster diving, massoginist cat? Garfield has the self respect to not eat garbage. -

The REAL story of the day... Touchdown Lee Ward!
L-TownCat replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I want a FB soooo badly. Nobody mentions the biggest reason Double trouble was so good in '08, Brad freakin Hoover. -
Its not like the QB was Drew Brees or Matt Ryan, it was 6'6" 245lbs Cam "Super-Man" Newton.

I can't tell you how happy this makes me. I've loved the pick since the draft and have had my fingers crossed that he would show out. Damn it feels good.

I need to know if this is a direct quote please. Did he really say Shula will be dealt with?

This should be tatoo'd on every persons forehead that even mentions the LT situation. Since I mentioned it I've already made my appointment at Ink Link on Franklin St in Gastonia.

Depth impacts ST's directly. For as long as Rivera has been here, we have had zero depth on this roster. Add injuries to the mix and the first unit to feel the sting is ST's. Once a guy becomes a starter then it gets really hard to keep him on ST's due to the injury risk. Thats when you get grocery boys and Bersin returning punts and kicks. We have, according to Olsen, stater talent accross the board. Add to that the FA's specifically for ST's like Trusnik, Toddman and Ginn we have to be better.

If Williams can learn to punch the rushers and use his power to knock the speed guys off balance he can be pro-bowl good. His run blocking has been there as why he was drafted at RT.

Panthers Training Camp Notes and Photos - Day 4

My wife just asked who the honey was with the big red beard? I said, who, that guy? Yeah.. Remmers? I guess so, he looks like you with a big red beard. Ok, so apparently my wife still thinks I'm hot (score!) but that I look like Remmers... Maybe my wife has an eclectic taste?- 37 replies

Just an observation from my camp experience today
L-TownCat replied to UpstatePanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
we gave most of the vets a day off. Without your pro bowl center and Chandler at RT it was gonna be spotty. -

just for the sake of conversation, when you have a mobile QB like Cam, won't a T give ground so that the QB can step up and under? seems like the ends can go back as far as they want, once they've gone by, Cam can make his read or run.

I saw an OT stay engaged and keep hands on a talented rusher.
