  1. I guess it’s a philosophical question. Do you use you’re best player as much as humanly possible to win, or do you put him on a pitch count and risk losing while not utilizing said best player? Coaches are people too. They have to do what’s in their best interest to survive. Christian will never request fewer touches. He will tell them he wants all the touches. That’s what football players do. (See Newton, Cam for other examples) I think they’ll use him depending on the situation. If they need him to carry the load, he will. If they don’t, hopefully that’s when we see Chubba. But to answer the OP, I bet it all stays pretty much the same but with CMC getting spot relief in a few games where he didn’t before.
  2. The neat thing is, right now, both of us are right, and both of us are wrong. Without the games being played we’re just pecker slapping. Kinda pointless really.
  3. This. No really, read it again until it sinks in.
  4. If I’m thinking at all like Brady, the opposing Defense will key on CMC first, then the top 2 receivers. That leaves Terrace with the matchup. About the 2nd or 3rd +50yd TD where Marshall blows off the top of the Defense and teams will be forced to account for him, opening up the aforementioned players to be the stars they are. At least that’s how it goes in my daydreams.
  5. Anderson/Moore/Marshall/Smith/Arnold/Tremble/CMC/Chubba Excuse me? Dafuq you say? I get these guys? All of them? Sheeeeesh
  6. quietly, I think that is the one that will make the most difference overall.
  7. I’m gonna try to set aside my homer-ism and look at this roster. A: youth (youngest in the league) B: Improved secondary bolsters already stiff D-line. C) minus QB, the offense looks poised for success depending on the signal caller. D) LT will be a question going into camp but past position groups either play well above their projected level or far below it. E) skill positions top to bottom are better than at anytime in our brief history. F) Coaching seems modern compared to past staffs. G) Unknown quantity. That’s the Panthers. All the info is speculative. Nobody knows what to expect from this team There aren’t many times prior to a season where I could say a lot of this stuff. This team is wholly different than any other previous 53 man roster. That is… exciting. I’m not a fan of change for the most part but this change feels right. It feels good.
  8. I’ll never understand why this fanbase seeks out negative info to shove in each other’s faces. The Athletic pays Joe Person a salary. That’s enough to discount their opinions.
  9. He’d still probably qualify as one of the best Carolina QBs in franchise history. And that says more about our franchise than him.
  10. If he said anything the haters would say he was supposed to be the fix in Jersey. I’m sure he knows there isn’t much he could say without catching all the flak. Even though he has the opportunity to air it out.
  11. 6-7 years ago I’d be like “ha! Gaaay!” But something happened bro, I’m a soppy foofcake now. I don’t listen to country but only because it makes me weep like a willow.
  12. That’s the most ridiculous poo I’ve heard. That BBQ spot in Wilson that literally still tosses pigs in an Earth pit to smoke em, is some of the best food (bar none) I’ve EVER had. Personal preferences are one thing, but denigrating an established landmark eatery is just mean spirited. That place existed before you and I guarantee it lasts long after we’re gone.
  13. Anybody remember the name of that other “bust” QB under Gase that found a better situation and then magically began to look like an NFL starting QB? Did that happen? Was that a dream I had? He got better coaches, talent, and a running game. Tammany Hill? Fanny Thrill? Tosser Pill? Ah.. so close…
  14. I agree. I think he is the worst (NFL) Head coach. I still have Bob Stoops above all other shitty football coaches. (I honestly don’t even know why he bothers me so much) Oh no, NOW I remember! It’s because they called him Big Game Bob and it was a worse misnomer than Riverboat Ron.
  15. One hit wonders. Gase is the gift that keeps on breaking. (Is that how it goes?)
  16. The other coaches listed were good at something (OC, DC). Gase has never been good at anything. That’s what I’m getting at. He, himself, not his team or the org. Just him. He’s not good. He’s objectively bad. To me that makes him the worst. I’ve said this was only my opinion a few times now. Gase is the worstest ever, ever, ever. (Fingers in ears, lalalala)
  17. Free Agency killed rivalries. Now it’s hard to develop a tradition when the guy you pulled for last season plays on the team you hate this season.
  18. Bad no doubt. Just not to Gase’s level of “but why tho?”
  19. I’ll admit there are coaches that I can’t remember or never knew of, but at this moment of off tops recollection, he’s got top spot.
  20. Bob Stoops is a personal pet peeve. I’m not saying he’s worse than Gase I’m just saying I still don’t understand how he got the Oklahoma job. I don’t even care about Oklahoma. I don’t even care much about college FB. That’s how much he bothered me.
  21. I’m down at the coast or I’d have to join you in spirit. Too many shrimp and oysters require my attention.
