  1. Its not bold its bull poo. Moton is nearing All-Pro status at RT. Moving him weakens 2 spots on the line. Gross did play '03 at RT. Only b/c he was a top-10 pick and could ball. We had a LT at the time. Gross was to replace Steussie. Which he did the following year. Rookie tackles weren't usually tossed in the starting lineup back then. Especially LT. Erving and Eflein seem like fit signings. The staff saw something they think they can use. They weren't brought in on hopes and prayers. Money dictates who will start the season at C. We have players with some skill that can hold off a UDRFA challenger. This is how I see it to start the season: Christensen - (Daley/Eflein)- Paradis - (Eflein/Daley) - Moton Brady goes to LT for 2 reasons, he's listed on the team site as a T and Rhule said whoever they drafted in the 3rd round needed to be a day 1 starter.
  2. It'll be confusing for everyone until one of them does something of note or we revert to using jersey numbers.
  3. Szoke is as knowledgeable and has seen as much if not more live Panthers games than anyone. He has a wealth of experience to draw from and that's why he is best suited as someone to discuss the team not necessarily call the games. I've interviewed Jim myself and hes a natural radio talent. It was so much fun picking his brain for the 30 minutes he gave us. Good guy too.
  4. Is that the young guy that brought back Packard's show Primetime? Edit: Nope. See above
  5. Ok? Players visit sick kids in hospitals. Why not visit a terminally awful franchise? Makes sense.
  6. Being of the one handed persuasion myself, he’s my guy.
  7. I’m familiar with the guy. At the end none of us were “fans” of Jake. It got bad. What never changes is how good he was for us for that short period.
  8. Yeah, and a lot of talented guys got that ass beat by Jake too.
  9. Hard not to root for the muscle legster.
  10. What is this "Classic" Smitty? There is, was, and forever will only be Smitty.
  11. It might have something to do with his innate ability to make ridiculous plays look mundane even boring. Sometimes the announcers wont even break sentence and then say something like "The Panthers capitalize on a quick score drive, back after this." It's crazy how his abilities are(not) perceived. We see it, but its so easy to look over him.
  12. Pretty much what I said? If he performs well he un-seats the journeyman vet. All the better.
  13. If we keep 4-5 max, your list should start with Horn and Jackson. Bouye, Melvin, and Taylor were brought in. Pride is gonna have to unseat one of them.
  14. Good lord at the goozle on this guy? Did he swallow a giant jaw breaker? A baseball? Is it a tumor? Washington Football Team is that?
  15. I remember wanting him gone so bad then they drafted this absolute unit out of Alabama…
  16. I wonder what the ratio of playing time will be for the 1st game? Are the starters gonna cameo and dip after a series? Or will The Darnold get extended minutes maybe 1st quarter? Do the 1's go to halftime?
  17. I dont expect the kid to fail, I expect the Jets continue to fail. No ill will towards the little e-boy.
  18. Did they just flex Zach Wilson's college stats at a mid tier program to somehow underscore Sam Darnold's NFL statistics with the Jets? "He's Carolina's problem now." Uh huh... Alright then. Lets revisit this comparison after, oh I dont know? Say, Week 1?
  19. Smitty is my favorite player ever. I hold him in higher regard than some family members of mine. That said, there is no one that would be worse for this young team and a psychologically fragile QB than a uber competitive no filter 89 running around practice son-ing everybody.
  20. Before Julio, Roddy was warping our heads for years. Solid production year in and year out. 6 straight seasons of +1100yds Yeah, hes on the list.
  21. Smitty Julio gets real crowded (Michael Thomas, Marqous Colston, Roddy White, Keenan Mcardell, Joe Horn)
