  1. I've said it a hundred times, its only b/c he makes it look so easy. That catch and run down the sidelines against ATL where it looked like he would get chased out of bounds but they just couldn't catch him. Even the highlight looks almost mundane. His splash plays look the same as the other plays. None of this is a knock on the kid, but even I yawn watching his highlights. I dont understand that. How can a long TD strike be boring? Ask DJ Moore.
  2. Does any team really have a "back up" for their QB1? Their aren't even 32 starting caliber QBs in the league at a given time. Starter goes down, not much hope after that unless you got some gangly 6th round statue of a Michigan QB sitting on the bench.
  3. I found this place back in mid 00's using PFT as my football news aggregate. They would link relevant team/fan sites where you could find articles or forums such as this. Lurked a good while before even making a profile. How the times have changed since then.....
  4. Honestly, I only posted that to see if anyone even remembers that far back. Jimmy rustlin' was a proud tradition back in the day.
  5. Does KK wanna switch positions or something? Because that is the only way to compare those deals. I get nobody is thrilled with Erving or his pay, but the 2 positions demand different pay. Be free KK. Go in peace big fella.
  6. It has to be in the culture. Around here its been a country club, pinkies out, mentality and it took years but it bled onto the field.
  7. He'll block about as much as Arnold will, here. Not his primary responsibility but as a rookie he'll be expected to prove he can at least do it.
  8. I would love to be the "bad guys" of the league. We've worn the white hat for a long time.
  9. A better offense will help keep a defense fresh. Fresh legs stuff runs.
  10. I selected Daley by process of elimination. I think BC plays one guard spot or the other. I dont think Ervins health will hold, Little is trash. Moton plays RT. Now, Brady could straight up earn the LT spot. It just not that likely. So again we're left with DD.
  11. I don’t think it would be necessarily a good thing if they were. That would most likely mean poor play or injury ahead of them. I hope a group emerges and solidifies in camp. Then pray they can stay healthy.
  12. Good call. I’m a little guilty of just pretending that stuff isn’t happening. I miss #1…
  13. I still think this dude is 6th man. First off the bench, can perform spot duty at multiple positions. Can even start a game or two when needed. Injuries make him a better part time player than full. Our worst move is the one we didn’t/couldn’t make. LT being such a question going into camp having a new QB with Post Traumatic Sack Disorder is not, ideal.
  14. I’m not doubting ATLs new toy, but a top 5 pick on a TE? That brings certain expectations. Pitts will have to BALL to meet the initial demands. As mentioned Arnold is going to catch the passes and Tommyknocker is gonna help CMC make house calls and keep Sammy upright a little longer.
  15. By all means, make it a thread if ya like. I dont do that very often. The Jets didn't have enough time to David Carr, Sam. He would have been shaky those first years anyway given his age. The kid has the tools he was just surrounded by poo. literal piles of poo. Think about going to work everyday to a job youre good at. Now imagine working for a boss that knows less than you telling you what to do and he wants you to do it with tools that aren't right for the job. Now imagine getting transferred to another branch where your boss is knowledgeable and looks to get you the best tools with which to perform at the highest level possible. Improvement can be expected, right? It should be.
  16. I’m hoping for good things from these joint practices. I think the “live” reps with no fear of contact could really boost his confidence seeing CMC/Moore/Anderson/Arnold making plays.
  17. It’s all about the QB this year. Can they protect him, and can he get it done? Not really training camp stuff, but those are the only real questions I got.
  18. Found this older video on Sam. I cant shake the feeling we stole a quality starting QB. Like, stole.
  19. It took Tannehill a bit to shake off the Gase. But once he found his spot in Nashville, he aint looked back. I dont expect Darnold to carve up defenses and win shootouts against KC, what I expect is more than what we had before. To get better. Thats it. To what degree is why we watch the games.
  20. I sincerely doubt we put together a worse line for Sam than he’s already had. Even if the two are equal he still has a better cast around him. He actually performs better while improvising. Lots of reasons to be hopeful, until there isn’t.
  21. Is it just me or did those highlights remind anybody else of Sam Mills?
  22. I wouldnt be surprised to see an additional spot kept here for the longer season and quality at the position.
