Sure if he just continues to play like he did last week, but that was quite literally the worst game of his career. I don’t know how much better it gets, but I doubt it’s as bad as last week moving forward. More likely than not I think they see what they have and make a decision at the end of the year.

That’s the issue. YOU believe it to be a sunk cost. Ergo if you have come to that conclusion of course you would move on. It’s very likely that no one in that building has come to that conclusion and will let it play out, likely the rest of the year. That’s the point.

No one is asking you to believe it my guy. I’m not saying it’s likely he even becomes good and that fact is solidified if he keeps playing bad. I’m saying the organization is going to fully evaluate him through this year and will make a decision, regardless of whether you think it’s a closed case. Why does that fact upset you?

That’s fine. No one is enjoying this, but that isn’t reality and it isn’t gonna happen. They are gonna evaluate him the rest of year regardless if you enjoy it or not.

He is at the very least going to be the QB through this season. It’s obviously trending very badly, but it’s one week into his sophomore year. Anyone who wants Dalton to play is kidding themselves. The organization is going to evaluate what they have. Next year really depends on how well Bryce does. Also, next years QB draft isn’t great right now, but I can’t foreclose that someone like Carson Beck rises as an elite prospect depending on his play. The team shouldn’t draft a QB unless they think it’s a franchise guy. Also, we saw the poo show Bryce was dropped into, you want that again? If Bryce is just okay they likely go into next season with him and a vet to compete in camp. Best case Bryce balls out this year makes us forget about week 1 and we forget about this discussion.

Bro y’all gotta stop. The NFL word for the owners basically. Short of criminal or ethical behavior like Donald Sterling they aren’t forcing anyone to sell their team. Hell the Browns and Lions were dreadful for the better party of two decades and never forced a sale.

QB is the hardest position to play in sports and they used massive capital to get Bryce. I have no idea if he will be good and he is clearly trending away from that, but the team should and will exhaust every avenue with him because there simply isn’t another option. That’s the difference.

It’s not like pro athletes are different from you and I. We all work with people with varying levels of care for their care. Hell do you love you job or is it just a means to an end? I think if you make it this far you have a general competitiveness and care about the result. Moreover I think Dan is prioritizing that type of player, but not sure it’s as black and white as you want to make it. Some people do it solely for the money and some don’t.

Sam Darnold looked competent yesterday. That probably says a lot.

Not sure how much we can take away from the run game when they got down so fast. So I wouldn’t say the backs or like had a bad performance in that respect. I’ve been a Bryce supporter and I’m going to keep an open mind about it because he is going to play regardless so we will see if he can sink or swim this year. With that said, it’s getting late early for him. Just poor awareness yesterday, sporadic accuracy, etc. Mingo is just awful, shoot him to the moon.

Benching him would be dumb. First, fans think Dalton is Tom Brady b/c he had a ton of yards throwing the ball 50 times in a loss. This team sucks. Dalton won’t magically change that. The Panthers invested a lot in Bryce. They owe it to themselves to collect every data point they can to see if he is or isn’t the guy.
