  1. Looks like we need a new strength and conditioning coach
  2. Need a true nose tackle, and we have never had that in this 3-4
  3. I understand there is no relationship with Steve Clinkscale, but if we are targeting any of his former players in the draft, it wouldn’t hurt to have a conversation with him. See if he has any interest. I have a hard time believing we are gonna land a big name coordinator in Charlotte. Might as well explore all avenues.

  5. I got an interesting name and long shot. Steve Clinkscale, with Michigan ties and there’s a few Wolverines at the top of the draft. Steve Clinkscale DEFENSIVE BACKS Los Angeles Chargers Biography A 23-year coaching veteran at the collegiate level, Steve Clinkscale comes to Los Angeles to coach defensive backs after a three-season tenure as secondary coach at the University of Michigan (2021-23). He added co-defensive coordinator responsibilities last season, helping lead the top-ranked defense in college football, allowing just 247.0 total net yards per game as the Wolverines posted a 15-0 record and finished by winning the College Football Playoff National Championship. Prior to his time at Michigan, Clinkscale coached defensive backs at the University of Kentucky for five seasons (2016-20) and at the University of Cincinnati for three seasons (2013-15), adding defensive coordinator responsibilities for the Bearcats his final season. He got his start in coaching as defensive backs coach at his alma mater, Ashland University, from 2001-07 before coaching defensive backs at Western Carolina in 2008. Clinkscale then spent three seasons at Toledo (2009-11) as cornerbacks coach/special teams coordinator before coaching cornerbacks at Illinois in 2012.
  6. I think landing a big fish as the defensive coordinator is highly unlikely. Based off the list provided we will probably have to get one of the blue chip names and see what happens. If I had to make a guess I would say Aaron Curry. The man is a linebacker and so was Dan Morgan. The connection is there with Seattle, and I would look towards his experience with a winning franchise like Pittsburgh now.
  7. Might want to take an offense lineman instead, since our line has been garbage today.
  8. Was just wondering if Morgan would go back to his Seattle days and try to replicate LOB.
  9. Gotcha, I was just wondering because I haven’t seen his name out here and he’s a solid top talent in the draft.
  10. Legit question here, what are the thoughts on Will Johnson paired with Horn to have a no fly zone CB situation? Johnson still has a high draft grade even with missing significant time this year.
  11. Let’s not get cute with this draft pick. Can you sit there right now and believe in our front office to get this right? as it stands now, if we hold the number four pick then we should just get who we want to get or whoever is the best available in that position. Time and time again we have seen our team fail in the draft with getting it right. I like what we have done so far, but I still don’t have the confidence in them with this trade down proposal. They will find a way to screw it up.
  12. Hopefully free agency will set up round 1 for BPA. So depending how we go in free agency will dictate which direction we draft, but you have to get a DUDE in round 1. If we can get Hunter, he has to be used on both sides of the ball. So that can be designed plays on offense if he is our #1 CB and vice versa. There is only one true #1 WR And that can go a long way for Young going forward. Either way you look at it we have to get a DUDE in round 1.
  13. I’m more in favor of drafting or picking up an UDFA running back next off-season. Free agency should be focused on beefing up the defense and allowing us to fill out the rest of the holes with draft picks.
  14. Its possibly looking like we are gonna have to draft a RB or acquire an UDFA RB next year…
