This is the best explanation. I can see us working the trade wire for line upgrades but I don’t think we are trading high level draft picks for aging vets. More likely to try and find some solid linemen as upgrades for interior line positions with lower round draft capital. The FO is not tossing first rounders around in a shopping spree just my .02

I see your point but cant you say that about most football players in the NFL? RB, linemen LB, etc… all carry more weight on their frame. This is an unspoken prerequisite for an NFL player IMO.

I don’t know Whether there is different coverage or not pertaining to CMC but if there is a difference I would not think that it is significant or creates any issues for anyone. CMC is healthy (with a tweaked hammy), in the prime of his life, has a very nice contract, a smokin hot GF and a bazillion dollar home. Seriously doubt he’s sweating his media coverage. good players are recognized when they play well. Maybe we should focus on real problems instead.

It’s fine if they want to shop for an LT but not with with a player, specially pretty good stater. Plus they drafted Horn to beef up the secondary so I don’t see them trading away the other starter back there.

Aside from the one play Darnold looks like a different player. Perfect? No, but does he look like he can lead this team to playoffs? Yes. Not saying we will get there this year and there won’t be more WTF moments but so far he looks capable.

I like Sam and while the jury is still out, I think we will walk away with value relative to the compensation we give to the Jets. That said, I think for us to maximize the value I expect this to be a somewhat lengthy ( more than 1 season) reclamation project. He will not be all world by the end of the season and there will be more issues uncovered. Rhule and Co are reteaching NFL QB 101 for lack of a better example. We just need to have a little confidence in Darnold being a worthy pupil.

Agree that you can’t fully judge anything yet. What I can conclude is that so far he looks confident and was able to overcome the bad/stupid play and still perform at a decent level.

I think the OL has performed better than expected but every time Sam drops back to pass my chair puckers and I feel impending doom is nigh.
