  1. Darn old had some bad throws and decisions. Not sure that it was because of him, the defense or the OL. That said, he seemed to respond to that and overcome it. He made some good plays down the stretch to get it within one score. Always thought there would be bumps in the road but felt we could work out some stuff with Sam. Still feel that way.
  2. Zod has another thread for this sorta stuff…
  3. According to my “research” (I.e I quickly scanned a Wikipedia page), the young man turns 23 tomorrow. That said he is young, has barely been a professional for a year and just had his life turned upside down. I can see this being an awkward situation for anyone and when you consider he is an introvert by nature I think it went well. I will give home some leeway before judging. Let’s see what happens. happy birthday CJ and welcome to Carolina
  4. It might be in part attributed to the way Snow schemes. Exploit the confusion on offense and feast.
  5. Patience is not very common in these parts. I
  6. In before “why don’t we just trade for their left tackle instead?”
  7. If I’m not mistaken he is tied with me for for regular season games played, catches and yards. Are you saying no one is trading for me either? feelings hurt.
  8. Yeah. This makes a lot of sense. The deal has some risk but there is major upside if it falls right. perfect scenario: he balls out and we end up with 3 starting caliber corners in Horn, Jackson and Henderson. Steal for the Panthers Not so perfect scenario: I think you come out ahead if he ends up being just a stop gap this year for Horn and then becomes nothing more than a depth piece. disaster scenario: He totally busts this year and barely sees the field. Still don’t think you lose too much but it’s hard to swallow.
  9. Well put. Perryman ended up being a bad experiment for the team so they salvaged what they could. Arnold may have been the chess piece for acquiring a long term CB. This FO sees players as both players and assets that can be moved for the betterment of the team. sounds cold but it’s business.
  10. I think these folks believe that the action to acquire a CB means that the team is disinterested in improving the OL. It’s a ridiculous mindset
  11. Not totally under the bus like the snippet would indicate. Probably something they have discussed as a team after watching film. Nothing to see here IMO
  12. I think we have a shot at making the playoffs but as it stands the line is the glaring point of weakness. I can see a scenario where we conclude at the end of the year that if we have a better OL unit, this team will be a contender. If that is where we end up I believe our FO will make calculated investments in both the draft and free agency.
  13. he needs to be kept like this till he is ready to come back. No conjugal visits for miss pointy elbows either. It’s football season dammit
  14. Miracle drug. I put that shiit on hotdogs just to make sure I have enough daily intake.
  15. Going to keep an eye on it but plan to binge watch something on Netflix. You know, make it a productive Sunday since the home team has they day off.
  16. Thought going in that he would be a bit of a bargain relative to his trade value. Currently it is looking like a steal.
  17. He is harsh on the new regime. But I think the culture in NY is embedded until we see otherwise. we haven’t given Darnold the greatest protection but I think the staff realizes this and is trying to compensate for it.
  18. I heard that some of the deep stuff to Robby was not taken so Sam could play it safe on some of the plays. I think time will tell but maybe he is going for the higher percentage throws. But they do need to get Robby more involved.
