  1. I follow the team and pull for the team no matter what. I hope they dont suck and if they do suck well, that is just how it goes and it sucks for me. I don't have a monetary investment though. If I were a PSL owner my disappointment would be replaced with rage cause this team is a complete shiit show right now.
  2. An oldie but a goodie. Carolina Possums. They play dead at home and get killed on the road.
  3. yes to this. Ickey looked like he was going to work out fine last year. This year he is a mess. Has looked confused and constantly a step or two behind. Move him inside if he cant play the position. I know that is a huge disappointment and you are still looking for a franchise left tackle but your QB's hospital bills will be substantially lower going forward.
  4. Panthers have been observed climbing trees with a full grown deer in their mouth. Basically climbing a tree with its body weight or more clinched in its teeth. Both impressive and damn scary.
  5. The blue and orange cat doesn’t work either. I’d scratch that one off the list also.
  6. Yes. Whether you are an NFL HC or the slushy machine operator at the 7-11 you want to earn as much as possible. If Johnson wants a premium here because of added risk factors such as Tepper BS then so be it. I don't think any of this is substantiated but one would want to mitigate risk with something and if that is with $$$ who am I or this guy to say it is wrong. If someone is willing to pay you X amount you are "worth" X amount. Whether or not that turns into an equitable exchange is a risk the buyer has to absorb (see Miles Sanders). When Tepper hires a coach I don't care if he pays him 30 mill. It is not part of the cap and is not my concern. I just don't want another trash coach. So far the best coach under the Tepper regime is the one he didn't have a hand in hiring.
  7. Rational and agree. Owner should be looking big picture And have some detailed set criteria and sign off but he shouldn’t be the only guy making the decision. Need football guys making sure the coach checks all the football boxes.
  8. I have never been compelled to rewatch a Panther loss but I am very tempted. Smokin my Christmas butt and brisket tonight so I think the stars are aligned just right.
  9. The fact that we are actually bitching about the refs instead of players coaches and the POS owner is incredibly inspirational.
  10. This seems to allow BY to get into a rhythm as a passer which is the opposite of what was happening earlier in the year. BY looks much more comfortable and less robotic which will hopefully benefit him over the next few weeks. I know it’s counter to the ultimate goal of the game but I bet a lot of people in the organization are feeling better about this loss than they were about the 9-7 win last week.
  11. Never one for moral victories but damn. A lot of good things today. Merry Holidays all!
  12. Asking him to sign me to a multi year contract to be the panthers next head coach. At least I'll benefit from his next disaster and I can start my retirement planning which should begin no later than this time next year.
  13. One of the scarce scenarios where playing for the field goal is the right strategy.
  14. The deck is stacked against this defense from an injury and complementary football standpoint (I.e. offense sucks and puts defense in precarious position). I dont think they are top 10 but they are stingy. It’s the only positive on this team so maybe I am biased.
  15. I’m. Panther fan and since Bryce is the QB I’m a Bryce fan. He’s either gonna work out or not. I’m leaning hard towards the not but hell, I’m wrong all the time. I expected them to screw up that drive right up until the ball got thru the goalposts. 1 is a streak dammit! I’ll take it.
  16. It isnt like his parents and agents came to Carolina and sold snake oil to the Panthers in a vacuum. This kid was in the discussions for 1/2 top 5 picks well before the Panthers made the trade. It’s comforting to have a scapegoat but in reality the cause of this mess is pouring ketchup all over his steak and eggs at the moment.
  17. The only thing Tepper is proven to be good at is investments. As good as it would be for Tepper to have a diversion, the profit on the Panthers, regardless of terrible team performance is probably (this is my assumption but I am ignorant of motor sport team profit) a bigger cash cow than the motorsports angle. Tepper paid 2.2 billion for the team. Five years later he has transformed it into the stinkiest hot mess in the NFL and it is valued at a little over 4 billion. What other business can you have top to bottom ineptness and still double your money in 5 years?
  18. Apparently thats in the job description for coaches and players as well.
  19. The New England job opening is much more attractive than the one here in Carolina. Definitely not going down the "no one will take this job" avenue but that one would be more coveted me thinks
  20. IDK about the Panthers but the Bears MVP is David fuggin Tepper
  21. I can empathize with him and anyone in terms of working toward a goal and falling short. Sucks when that happens to people particularly when they are younger. But dude has a huge golden parachute so no, I don’t feel one bit sorry for him. If this football thing doesn’t work out he will simply go into early retirement with millions in the bank. He will land on his feet.
  22. My 80 proof Panthers Jingle Bells Cover is coming along Dashing through the summer with dreams of playoffs in some heads Team takes the field in the fall and firmly shiits the bed! Oh this team sucks, this team sucks Tepper your a fool Who woulda thunk we could get worse after firing dumbass Rhule.
