I fall into the would love to be wrong” category and while I disagree with your stance, I definitely understand and respect it. A lot of people probably feel the same way you do because there has been much more negative than positive.

Good for Bryce and team. That said, I think the media tends to sensationalize things a bit much and by the end of the week, the guy that was benched and thought to be a bust is carrying a walk on water narrative around his neck. I like that he is saying the right things to his teammates and also trying to legitimize himself as an NFL QB but the dramatization kind of cheapens the whole thing for me personally.

I am part of the way there but ready to turn the car around at anytime. Just need a body of work rather than a one/two outliers. I do have hope but hope is not a strategy. To OP's original point, I definitely give kudos/credit to Bryce for handling this with grace and trying to claw back some relevancy. Whether it ends up well for him in the end, he has seemingly handled the situation admirably and responded to the adversity in a good way.

I think BY played well today and exceeded expectations. I will temper future expectations as he has to string together many games of consistent quality. One game doesn’t convince me that he is a franchise QB or even a guy you want to stick with for another season. One game doesn’t erase all the negative play and limitations from the past couple of years. I hope he balls out and continues to get better but for me the verdict is still out That said, I think he gave the team and fans hope yesterday which is a lot more than what we had when we woke up Sunday morning.

Yep. But restaurants are hit and miss with both pork and beef IMO. Backyard smoker is the best.

From NC so smoked pork butt is the staple. That said, having a narrow minded view regarding a good brisket is self destructive. Wouldn’t turn down either one.

If we are still asking this question I think we know how it will end. If we haven’t seen it yet then it is likely unattainable. Never say never though.

I have no real expectations. I think he will play like a dude coming off an injury who hasn’t played a down of football in 53 weeks and playing in his first ever NFL game. Needs to get hit and needs live action game contact. I want him to get in rhythm and get comfortable with assignments. If he balls out great but in no way am I expecting some sort of breakout performance.

Jones was a Dave Gettleman special. Good thing we let Dave go when we did, otherwise the Panthers would have eventually wasted a high draft pick on a Q…. Never mind. Forgot where I was going with that one.

I suspect with it being his first game back that it will be lackluster and they will not put too much on his plate. Glad he is healthy but the only thing I expect is a complete overreaction from fans and media on how good or how pedestrian he looks in his first outing. That said, I am wrong on things most of the time, so who knows.

Can't imagine the stress our young receiving corp must be facing at the moment knowing everyone is looking to them and expecting them to make up for this loss of production. The sleepless nights will be unbearable and I hope they don't crack under this added pressure.

I think for the lion to have a chance he/she would have to go for the jugular on a quick strike. If it misses the bear would simply break it in half or take a bite out of its skull like a kid on a tootsie roll pop. In the bear's case its only gonna take one lick to get to the center... From the media click perspective it makes sense. The Panthers need a QB really bad and Daniel Jones is a really bad QB. Lets put it out there...

Yes. Something to be said about letting a QB watch and learn. At the very least make him prove he is better than a 37 year old journeyman before anointing him starter I know in the current sate it’s not the norm but the current state isn’t working for the Panthers.

I think that contingency was set early on. Canales was doing and saying the right things. Had to. They gave the QB weapons and a good line but it has not translated for Young. Silver lining is, the offense can be friendly to a young QB but doesn’t necessarily have to be the one on the roster.

Apparently 126 yards with a W beside it is still 126 yards. Good thing the coaching staff knows that. I don’t know that either of our QBs will matter against KC but it would nice to see the young offensive weapons have a shot.

WRs drop balls. Young rookie WRs drop balls more. It happens and should be expected IMO. I am happy with the young guys. Sanders has impressed me more than anyone else cause I thought it would take longer for him. Not putting XL or Coker down. Just giving Sanders props for being ahead of schedule (in my little brain). Not calling it yet but hoping we finally have an up and coming TE weapon on the roster.

The personal hell Andy enters if he falls to the Panthers is way worse than anything the Chiefs FO can inflict on him.

I’m a fan of saying any given Sunday but in my opinion we’ve already been blessed with 2 and a bump given Sundays. Maybe 1 more but that is all. Mind you I will watch and pull for them to win but I don’t think they have the horses to get much more done.

I don’t think anyone wants Bryce to fail. Rather, I think many have come to terms that it’s impossible for Bryce to succeed given his limitations. On an Internet forum these expressions come out as caustic and negative but I do think that is the overwhelming opinion of the “Anti Bryce” camp. I am sure some of his superlatives get glossed over at times but the overwhelming message is that many believe that Bryce is not the answer. I personally wish him the best and if he is my QB I want him to play well and succeed but from what I have seen he is not an elite QB in the NFL. I hope I am wrong in my assessment though.

The OL, Chuba Jewel and Wonnum. I said in a previous post that I was happy that he was healthy and got thru his medical issues regardless if he played for the team this year. I stand by that but him coming back from his setbacks to perform like he did is an added bonus. Not saying he is all world or anything but kudos to the guy.
