  1. I like watching this stuff and it gives me good vibes. I do think the guy went over the top regarding the T-Mac draft pick though. I dont believe Bryce has Brady/GOAT influence on the front office based on half a good season in Carolina. They might have been leaning that way and his vocalization may have help cement the deal but I cant believe the FO weighted the BY endorsement to change the course of the draft. Just my .02
  2. My initial reaction also. He needs some of that too.
  3. This leads me to think Bryce has a level of comfort and confidence which are both good things. Hopefully this and last year's uptick translates to game day. I'm cautiously optimistic.
  4. The roster is a lot better this year than last year IMO. Especially on defense. That said, it is still a very talent deficient roster on paper and understand why people say it is at or near the bottom. This team desperately needs to draft better and develop players. One thing I am anxious to see is if some of the 2nd year players take the next step. There was promise last year with some contributors in Wallace, Smith-Wade, and Richardson on defense but with it being a historically bad defense it is hard to get a read on how good these guys are or can be. On offense I like XL but think he needs to buy a Jugs Machine instead of a horse and work on the drops. It would also be nice to see Coker take the next step forward.
  5. An impact player coming in may be correct, but I heard nothing in that feed to indicate it. just my opinion and I’m often wrong though
  6. Good question and it made me curious. According to the google this would be dead money on our side although with the contract not being top 51 it doesn’t count against the cap. The other team will pay him whatever they agree to pay him. So if he got guaranteed money of 250k from us and another 250 from his new team he has 500k. Caveat this by saying it was only five minutes of deep analysis on my part so it may be flawed but satisfies my curiosity nonetheless.
  7. I am optimistic that we might be on the verge of fielding a sustainable offense finally. The Bryce stats listed above are definitely encouraging. I don’t want to overly inflate this and disregard the previous 1 and a half seasons of production from Bryce and “cherry pick” stats but do hope the benching turns into an inflection point in his trajectory. Lots of excitement heading into this season.
  8. Yes. I hope Bryce is the answer and he keeps improving but if not the offense is setup for someone else to come in and win.
  9. Ok. Got it now. I think the extra “O’s” and all caps are what help me see the light so thank you. The concept is that you want them to try really hard but still lose if they are already mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. And you are so passionate about it that you resent it when they win. When this happens are you elated when a player makes a miscue that helped seal the loss? Like XL dropping that pass against the Eagles? Do you guys come in here and participation trophy praise him for trying hard but dropping it and protecting a high draft pick? Thanks for clarifying but genuinely curious.
  10. I understand this and understand the rationale behind it from a draft setup and agree that winning thes games when the team is eliminated from playoff contention doesn’t do a lot to change the culture. That said, how do you think players and coaches would receive this message? Does anyone that supports this line of thinking believe a team is gonna just say screw it we suck let’s just take December off (in some cases it would be October I know) so the organization can have a better draft? How would this approach impact culture?
  11. He’s as “genuine country” as it gets and there’s an appeal factor there that can sell a lot of advertising. He just needs his game to pickup and I suspect he will be a marketing goldmine for the Panthers and the NFL.
  12. Like your sense of humor. The answers we seek often lies in the question we ask.
  13. My take is that Bryce was terrible coming in but improved at the end of last season which did make me excited about watching this team again. If he continues to improve and look better (I hope he does) then we’re not in the market for a QB. If he regresses or doesn’t show signs of being anything more than a mid to low end starter we are probably looking for a QB next April. Excited to see what he can do and hope he can build on last seasons momentum.
  14. Draft euphoria is over and we are in the dregs of the offseason til training camp. Buckle up.
  15. I couldn’t get excited about drafting him prior to the draft but I’m all in (I guess I have to be) on TMac. Maybe some of it is Kool-Aid but I’m excited and it’s the season of hope but it feels like we finally have a true threat at WR since forever.
  16. No, so admittedly my comment is not a fully informed one. But had the misfortune of experiencing West Lafayette in the winter many years ago and I’m not a winter person.
  17. Occam’s razor says it has something to do with Purdue being in West Lafayette Indiana whereas A&M isn’t.
  18. Not trying to be melodramatic but from a corporate standpoint there is a big push for data security and privacy pertaining to personal information. Someone mentioned in the other thread about suing the kid but the only place there is possible money is him suing the Falcons organization for negligence related to the leaked personal information. At best, Shedur makes some added bank and the Falcons look like fools while this circus plays out. At worst, he’ll get free credit monitoring for a year or two.
  19. Screw all that new fangled sorcery. All I need is this site and my Mickey Gilley 8 track.
  20. I wonder how many other team message boards have similar threads today. No way I can endorse this for the Panthers but the further he slips the louder this will get across the league.
