  1. Insightful and reinforces the narrative which in my mind are based on fact. 1. BY has talent and there is legitimate reason to believe he has potential to play at this level and be successful although I’m not sure what successful means just yet. Main factors contributing to the uncertainty are: 2. The OL and receivers sucked and didn’t help last year. 3. Footwork and mechanics need to drastically improve alas it greatly highlights his limiting factors which are size and arm strength. #2 was addressed on paper (hundreds of millions pieces of paper). Better line and protection. Better receivers. #3 is being worked on based on Canales talking points and coaching. We should know what he is capable of and what his ceiling is this season. I hope for the best but I am prepared for the worst.
  2. I think Bryce is average/above average size for a nascar driver. I don’t know the exact stats of that sport but he seems to be prototypical nascar driver size. That picture of him carrying the wheel was slightly amusing though.
  3. I think in the end we are all agreeing on the same point. Everyone wants the team/BY to be successful. Most comments are heavily nuanced in optimism or pessimism which rubs others the wrong way. Its a forum on the internet so I just go with it. The reality is that the org is trying to build a team that provides the offensive framework for a young QB to develop. If BY can’t do that (I hope he can and reserve judgement) it is unfortunate and they will need to look elsewhere.
  4. I think they back themselves in a corner if they don’t say and do this. Spend a gazillion dollars to protect your QB, get him weapons and do everything you can to help him. I’m pulling for my QB but if the staff and org does everything they can to help and your franchise QB can’t improve, the answer probably isn’t on the roster. At least you know for sure and you have pieces around the next guy.
  5. Might not have a lot of wins but there is enough drama and intrigue to keep me interested. Hell, I turned 53 the other day I’m just excited to be here and be a part of it.
  6. Tabor did that some last year. Eddie can just stay at the beach. We got this.
  7. What are the odds on having an interim coach by December? Wonder how much higher than making the playoffs. Started writing this response in complete jest but now I’m genuinely curious.
  8. While he has a valid point, it is a flawed strategery for a team to coddle him from that perspective. If you are wasting time and resources to secure a savior for your team who is a field goal kicker, your ship is sunk. The conversation should go something like this. Eddie P agent: hi I am the agent representing Eddie Piniero, the guy responsible for winning all of your games last year. I would like to renegotiate his contract. Dan Morgan: who? I gotta go.
  9. If Canales has 99 problems and I guarantee that Eddie isn’t gonna be 1
  10. I would argue that the whole production they put together for last years release was a teaser. They should keep that name on there for transparency purposes
  11. Thank you cbssports.com! I was today years old when I found out that Bryce Young pretty much got outplayed last season by some dude named Aidan O'Connell...
  12. Haven’t gotten all the way thru but it’s pretty good. in summary:
  13. This guy comes to mind. Not sure if it adds up to more $$ but he was a big name and waste of money
  14. I think our entire TE room sucks with an optimistic and hopeful exception given to our recent draft pick
  15. If the team moves to Raleigh, so will the owner. Geography is not the problem.
  16. I think the act of spotting the ball will still be done by a person as there was no mention of that. The spot is where you would find the vast amount of judgement and mistakes imo. I think you have a valid point though.
  17. I think that signing would signal that the team desperately wants to return to mediocrity. If that was the intent then why bother moving on from Rivera and company in the first place? He would have been able to manage mediocrity with a sniff of the playoffs here and there.
  18. I haven’t kept up much with the background of our draft picks. I knew he lost his father but was not aware his mother had passed also. That along with Transitioning to college and the position switch makes the late break thru more understandable. Basically a kid and was able to overcome so much and now he’s a first round draft pick. He’s gonna be an easy guy to root for.
  19. Seems to appreciate guys and be a guy that the players will like playing for. Also built a staff that is aligned rather than a brain trust. The coach speak is still coach speak but comes across like he gives you more insight. So yes, I think a different vibe. That said, they still need to execute and the moment there is a sighting of a DBO sign all bets are off.
