  1. Great analysis. 8 picks in 3-6 is a huge plus and several of these guys should get solid reps on Sundays. I think this is a very good draft.
  2. 20 pounds would translate to skipping lunch. Big is an understatement
  3. I think we get rid if the cap hit which frees up $$$ so there is a added bonus there.
  4. Half of huddle next half of the Huddle And the 3rd half
  5. Not sure. I may be wrong but I see a guy sitting in a room not wanting to not answer questions, which is what a pre draft presser is. Spewing lots of words while saying absolutely nothing. It’s a dog and pony show. If we know more pertinent details about what they are thinking after the conference than we did before the presser then they didn’t do their job correctly. Maybe he just didn’t want to be there which is perfectly understandable.
  6. A lot of conjecture at this point but at the end of the day it is a wait and see type scenario. Trading away the pick with on Sewell the board is different than trading away the pick with say D. Smith being next man up( just an example for clarity). Don’t think the final price is set til the clock is ticking.
  7. If Fields is on the board I would expect primary trade offers from NE and perhaps Denver. Could pick up some draft capital and still get a prime pick. Usually I believe trade downs are less likely but this year I can see the it playing out where it might be valuable to do so and still get a great pick. I would be ok with taking fields, bpa or trading down. One of the few times I feel pretty good about the draft going in which means I will likely be extremely disappointed when it’s all over.
  8. I see these two words and just want to let you know that perhaps you have this place confused with somewhere else. very well said tho.
  9. I listened. Guy makes a good case but IMO if you go in thinking this was absolutely a horrible trade you will come out to of this still convinced that it was absolutely horrible trade. If you have strong, I mean very strong reservations about the trade (that’s me) but are willing to be open minded it gives you hope but you are still in a wait and see mode. that’s about all I can say.
  10. With it being next years it doesn’t sting as much. It might if it turns out to be a horrible signing. I’m no that high on Darnold but dammit he is my QB now so I will run with it. Let’s see what Brady and Rhule can do with him.
  11. The key is not whether fans hate it. NFl doesn’t care one bit if you or I hate it. They care about whether or not we will watch it. If the answer is yea ( and it is yea) then there are millions of reasons for them to do it.
  12. Perhaps it’s been a year and you totally forgot about Huddle math during draft season. They’ll all be gone by the time we pick at 8.
  13. Your wife and all other teachers need to be commended. In my opinion teachers are treated like shiit and still show up and continue to try and do a good job. Cant comment on CMS, but my kids are freshmen at a somewhat rural union county school. I would say the school system has done an excellent job so far given the circumstances . They are on a hybrid model and go to school two days a week and are remote the other days. We are extremely fortunate compared to other people. I have a comfortable home with good internet and school is a big priority in our family. My kids don’t have to worry about their next meal and we aren’t working around the clock just to keep the lights on. I think there is rampant education devastation caused by COVID and unfortunately we will see this play out in the years to come. Not forcing them to (yet), but we are checking into tutoring opportunities where they can help other kids get up to speed with math. It’s a drop in the bucket but if we can help just one child it is at least something.
  14. Writer seems to think Rhule should’ve handed out juice boxes and cookies instead. Sure they learn nothing about taking the game to the next level but hey, it’s a glorified scrimmage plus he wouldn’t have hurt anyone’s feelings. Such horrible traits on display from someone who gets paid millions of dollars to motivate people to win. Guy should go write for Emily Post or something. It’s a billion dollar industry and you have to prove it or look at another career. Realizing that before getting cut could be a career saver for some of these young men.
  15. I think that is a new trait and think it comes from Tepper and his back ground. He is performance driven and if an asset isn’t performing you cut bait. It’s sometimes seems cold hearted because there are people involved.
  16. If this happens there will likely be future threads about how the GM sucks and we are wasting Watsons talent. I think about the holes on this team without DJ, Brian Burns and Derrick Brown. That’s our last three first rounders. You lose their talent and their growth. not saying don’t do it but saying there is a huge cost.
  17. Yes. I think what happened is the Europe chain mutated a bit from the original so you could see it hopped from there rather than directly from China.
  18. happened upon Jackson Browne acoustic on Spotify and love the David Lindley guitar. https://youtu.be/qeJUqDuA-7g
  19. I like the stories and backgrounds that come with the UDFA guys. I really hope they can catch on and make it. If not here, then somewhere else. I think folks tend to overlook the impact having one our two guys like this develop into players. I think it's huge and a win/win for the player and the team. Norwell and Philly are great examples. Guys get paid and in return the team has roster spots filled for the foreseeable future without having to overpay market $$$ for a vet to fill the role. That savings goes back to your core or increases your ability to build around it.
  20. Little known Cliff Clavin factoid. Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, who commanded the Imperial fleet fancied braided belts. When divers found the sunken wreckage his pants were also poo stained... Coincidence?
