It will be an average so/so performance consisting of 1 or 2 series that will lead to overreaction and divisiveness in the Huddle Universe half the board will rip Darnold by only looking at the bad passes or decisions. half the board will anoint him and buy fake “100% authentic” jerseys due to a couple highlight plays half will look at the stat lines and rip him because it was just average so/so In simple terms, a normal Huddle weekend had by all.

Hope the young man can overcome this. One thing when guys get dinged a bit but those big injuries are just devastating.

We have definitely seen more initial splash from last year's class and (at least early on) there seems to be some noise coming from this one. I dont want to proclaim the last two draft classes elite or great as time will prove that out but it is refreshing that these guys seem to be competing and for the most part look like they are worthy of their picks.

I think the big controversy is that Tepper and Richardson both spent wads of money on GMs, coaches and staff that work year round all the while we have a board full of geniuses that are capable of doing it for free simply by watching YouTube and a couple games.

I Yeah. This. I just finished praising PJ in another thread but it was to point out he seems to be growing and could become a viable backup. Not gonna jump the shark and say he is a starting caliber player. I don’t know whether Darnold is the answer or not but I think jumping to conclusions based on 30 minutes of scrimmage against backups and fringe roster players is a bit dramatic.

I came in to mention this. Was he the best player yesterday? No. Did he exceed expectations when given the chance? Absolutely. Not saying we should scrap Darnold and he is the answer, or that he has nothing left to prove at QB but it was promising to see he looked like a capable backup option.
