  1. Sam has issues and I view him as a bottom tier QB in the NFL. Best suited for a backup role. The improved line should allow him to lookmarginally better but to think he is able to overcome his issues no matter what you put around him is not logical in my opinion. I think this is a long winded and more subtle way of saying I agree with your assessment.
  2. I like this. I think you will have to throw in the player though. WE will need to be prepared to give up something. Even if we dont get a pick I suspect Fitt will be burning up phone lines trying to.
  3. My stance has been that nothing Tepper could say would appease people. “Our QB sucks and the head coach is a disaster. If he doesn’t win at least 8 games I’m changing the locks at BOA.” This is what folks want him to say but probably not the best approach.
  4. My ideal scenario is we can trade back a few spots, and pick up an early second. Pick up Cross/Ickey/Neal in first and best available QB in 2 (probably Howell or Coral). After seeing some of the mocks here it looks like others are seeing the same thing. Probably unlikely it works out that way but one can hope.
  5. Most people will be upset regardless. It’s a no win because there is no trust with the F.O. but I gotta get my entertainment somewhere.
  6. If he can send Gordon packing I will be extremely grateful.
  7. Who foots the bill for the new signage. Tepper in a sombrero every 15 miles?
  8. In Darnold's defense I do think he would be marginally better if given more protection. I dont think it would be a cure all though. Those aren't ghosts he is seeing. Those are demons and Rhule aint a priest.
  9. Exactly. I can’t blame a player for coming out and giving his best effort. But I can blame a staff that puts said player in a position that he doesn’t belong. Unfair to the player IMO.
  10. I think Daley is like a Byron Bell. A depth/rotational player capable of spelling a starter for a play or 2. Panthers seem to think he can spell a starter for a season or two. That is a disaster.
  11. Not a fan of a QB at 6 but understand why. The two OL will end up at guards most likely but hopefully with development they will be good depth. Draft will likely be a meh this year.
  12. This is a bit harsh. He's simply wants his opinion heard. Unlike the passes thrown to him, he cant let this opportunity slip through his hands.
  13. No mention of a ping snapper so it’s a good weekend in the books for Rhule and Co.
  14. I can’t totally get behind this because I am torn. But, the rationale makes a lot of sense.
  15. Don't worry. When I run into Luke tomorrow in my building I will ask him to confirm.
  16. I like the idea of trading back but not sure it will be worth it. If they think BC is the answer I could see them trading back and picking up a QB and perhaps the best available lineman with the extra pick(s) whether that be G/C/OT. But my problem with that is what changed their minds between the short arm fiasco and now? His arms did not have a growth spurt and there is not significant film to prove this out (I could be wrong). Also, last year they thought Darnold was the answer at QB and it turns out not. Thinking and Hoping are two different things.
  17. So basically we are probably drafting a non RB/CB player at 6 or trading back. I can get on board with that.
