  1. I say this with much respect as he would stomp me into the ground if he took it the wrong way but Jeremy Chinn just looks like a big happy kid. Just seems like a good and happy dude.
  2. Yeah, there was no way he was missing camp. Just curious to know if the guarantees and language was updated. My suspicion is there probably wasn't much movement but it would be interesting to know.
  3. Agree. I don't blame them for negotiating but really don't see this disrupting his training camp. The agent is supposed to negotiate the best deal and that is likely what he is trying to accomplish. But, when push comes to shove, the best deal will be for him to sign the contract and get to camp. I suspect this will be over tomorrow and he will be reporting to camp on Tuesday regardless of whether the offset language/guaranteed mony is updated or not.
  4. Not ready to call Burns elite but he is good at his job and will make his coin no matter what. just my opinion.
  5. Look! A photo of The Carolina Panthers 2 quarterbacks! Also pictured, Sam Darnold and PJ Walker…
  6. Interested to see how the reps are distributed between QBs in this game. Not expecting a wow factor anywhere as offense will be basic stuff. But it’s a football game even though it’s just a scrimmage.
  7. My take as the panthers enter camp. 1. I have concerns with the coach and front office direction. 2 Sam is not the answer 3 Robbie says things that are annoying and underperformed last year. 4. Did not really want Baker. All things I don’t like about the current team, but all things I have no control over. Ultimately, I pull for the team no matter what so as we enter camp and kickoff the season, I choose to overlook my dislikes and personal irritation. On paper, the team, particularly the offense is much better than the team we fielded in January. I’m intrigued to see what we can do. I doubt there is a chance this is a Super Bowl team but think they can be competitive so I will sit back and be entertained. As.it stands, I think fielding Baker and to a lessor extent, Robbie, will give this team the best chance to win. So even though I’m critical of the decisions, I will pull for Rhule, Baker and Robbie to succeed and try to enjoy the 2022/2023 panthers. So glad we have football coming back. Go team!
  8. I really like it. But is it me or does it look like the Cat is yawning? Never saw that in any of the other designs but the contrast here throws it off for me. Still love the black. Just an observation.
  9. Agree 100% with Darnold. My personal opinion only, but I dont consider Mayfield a bust quite yet. Perhaps I'm being kind in saying he was over drafted relative to his ceiling. While I dont agree with bringing him in, if I look at the trade from a single transaction it appears to be good value. That said, if you constantly buy clunkers and you keep putting money into them, you need to bite the bullet and get something reliable.
  10. If he were a cornerback the likelihood of a move would increase exponentially. Very talented player but probably not a focal point at this time.
  11. The problem with this is it creates a narrative that gets spread as the norm. Same as Cam. Says one thing and it follows him around forever. Social media is great in the sense that it spreads information quickly, but often times it creates a stereotype. I’m not saying we shouldn’t be critical of anyones actions but just think we need to stop and think before writing someone off totally. im not a baker fanboy and was ready to roll with Sam and Matt but he is here and he is ours. There is nothing I can do but try to keep an open mind.
  12. I’ve never heard any player or teammate say baker was difficult or anything ( I am not as informed as some of you so be kind). I think media pissiness is not the same thing as creating a dis functional locker room. Not trying to minimize anything but he’s here and he’s ours
  13. We have almost completely overhauled the offense this offseason. Not sure how much better it will be but I think on paper the talent level is elevated. There’s a good chance the play calling is more pro level as well. There’s a lot of question marks for sure. Can Robbie catch again, can Chuba learn to catch start, can CMC stay healthy, etc…. But I am intrigued.
  14. I think it is overblown. There might be some stuff there but ultimately we will find out. All these guys are type a and I suppose if they rub you wrong (should have used that in a deshaun Watson thread) the perception spreads. If we have learned anything from having a polarizing QB, it’s that the media and outsiders will create a narrative to fit their particular purpose.
  15. I don’t see the drama. It’s a fluff interview but you don’t see all the poo that has given him a bad name. I don’t see the locker room distraction yet. So my opinion is that we’ve upgraded the position without breaking the bank. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out
