  1. Dalton is a junior version/extension of Frank Reich and Josh McCown who happens to wear shoulder pads and still plays at a decent level(primarily as a backup). Good signing that provides stability in your QB room that should mesh with your coaching staff. I see it as a good move.
  2. Not going to be an all pro but it’s a reliable set of hands for a young QB and probably good vet presence. Liken him to Proehl, Cotchery and Olsen. Maybe not in pure skill or stats but just the type of team presence he seems to be at this stage of his career. You need good team guys that can produce and we just had to trade one. Hopefully this can fill some of that void.
  3. My favorite At the moment is some homemade Efflein-GoodBye pie.
  4. Didn’t we pull this sh$$t with TD early in his career and move him around? Hopefully this fixes it and lets him settle somewhere so he can thrive.
  5. Nice post. DJ seems to be a genuinely nice guy. One of those guys you want to succeed.
  6. “That’s the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the trade” Said no one ever that has a rational thought in their head. Dump Robbie for sideline tantrum and meltdown, yea. Trade a 100% level headed guy (didn’t he break up a fight at fan fest for the love of god) for one emotional momentary lapse after an extraordinary play? Highly doubtful this is the reason.
  7. A lot can happen between now and the draft. I would not say a word to the media to tip our hand. If anything they should lie through their teeth with lengthy word salads and contradict themselves.
  8. Makes sense to me. Still comes out to me as a decent trade.
  9. My first reaction would be that there is a mold infestation growing in the walls and water supply of BOA that causes mass psychosis with delusions and that said mold is about 1 mutation away from causing the zombie apocalypse. Then I would calmly try to rationalize the thought and arrive at the conclusion that there is obviously something I am missing that they see in Levis. But I still might stock up on potted meat and ammo just in case…
  10. I get the feel this is/was more of a consensus on who the top pick is. Between Fitt/FO and Reich/staff with 400 years of experience. It’s gotta be Stroud. 49 days later: Tunes into draft and and Panthers select Long Snapper from Hoboken Tech.
  11. Ready for draft day. Not sure how this plays out but I suspect this is how everybody in the FO walked out of BOA today.
  12. Im thinking he needs to add a mullet before we seriously consider. Have to play hardball with these prima-donnas
  13. I think their judgement on making this move is better than any staff this team has ever had. Conversely, I think they also have the ability to rationalize regarding “how much is too much” if it comes to that. I'm pretty confident with whose in charge which is good as I have no say in the matter.
  14. isn’t that the whole point of a message board? Don’t want to derail the insults (not informative but highly entertaining)
  15. So if I get this right, Person is saying someone might take AR higher because of an outstanding performance at the Combine. Or, maybe they wont take him higher... That is great journalism
  16. Depending on how many picks we end up with, I would aim for 4 or 5 good ones and a long snapper.
  17. There is a rational argument to not trade up but this ain’t it. If Fitt and Reich say that the cost was too much and they don’t have confidence in the guy(s) available so be it. But dumpster diving for a Franchise QB is probably not the best strategy.
  18. I am at the mercy of the coaching staff and am willing to accept what they decide is right. Unlike previous years where Rhule was both the man in charge and the squeaky wheel, I am comfortable with the people in the room arriving at a rational decision. I want a QB, would ideally like to move up and will be disappointed if we don't move up to get one. But the question is, does the staff value a QB enough to move up to get him. If they evaluate and consider the guys kinda meh, then I think I will understand albeit with a hefty amount of frustration.
  19. Trying to jump back into the firat makes sense to me. Devils always get n the details but I would like it.
  20. Agreed. Hopefully most level headed folks won’t judge a 20 year old on comments such as this. Rational minded people will wait till he’s in his 40s and running for public office and then hold it against him.
  21. I missed the whole Pearl Jam/Nirvana craze when I was younger. Could not get into it. But I’ve since revisited and the music is incredible. It’s great to discover something new even if it’s old.
  22. Not sure if this is bias or stereotyping but my experience is generally speaking, women have a better eye for detail than men. I actually think there is psychological data/evidence supporting this regarding female and male attentiveness but ironically, I can’t remember all the details. That said, glad the young lady is breaking thru and starting a good career.
