Good stand for the def. Man it feels going knowing we get the ball and the offense might can actually do something. -
Where will the wins come from? (my early predictions)
DeadpoolPanther replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Right now I’m thinking 4 wins on the low side and 6 on the high side. -
B. Our offense was terrible and our young qb needed lots of help everywhere so we got 3 should be starters and they all have potential to be big time players. Thought we could have done better on defense but we did get 5th and 6th rounders that could become solid contributors so that’s nice. Def feels like we drafted a bunch of guys that fit what our coach and gm want.

Panthers Select Xavier Legette WR - Pick 32, Round 1
DeadpoolPanther replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
He’s sneaky fast too. One of those guys that doesn’t really look like he’s running all that fast but he will pull away from everybody. -
Yeah. I’m kinda surprised he still there.

Panthers Select Ja'Tavion Sanders TE - Pick 101, Round 4

Great pick especially in the 4th. Gonna feel strange to actually have a legit weapon at TE, it was needed. -
Panthers Select Xavier Legette WR - Pick 32, Round 1

Nice pick. Not we can get whatever with the other pick. Got a good player at a position of need and now maybe best player available, sounds good. -
Just the o-line improvements alone make us better. The difference between a bad o-line and good o-line can’t be understated, big improvement. The trade for D. Johnson was a pretty big deal too. If Mingo takes even a small step forward the wr group is much better. That’s two important groups getting an upgrade. Defense, I feel like Frankie was our only big loss, but Jewell helps make up for that a little bit. Clowney/Wonnum makes up for Burns for the most part. Not as improved as the offense, but I don’t think we got worse. Add a good draft and I say we should be much improved. A lot depends on qb play now.

They still need to go after a top notch DB in the draft regardless.

This is hard to believe, but Rattler’s o-line was actually worse than Bryce’s o-line last year. He literally had to start running around as soon as the ball was snapped. He showed me a lot, I would take him. Seems like he grew up too. None of that Oklahoma stuff carried over to Carolina. He was a vocal leader for them.

Is Drafting a WR in the 2ND Really A Good Idea?

CB should be looking good in the 2nd. I’ll take a nice pairing of wr/cb or edge. -

Yeah XL gets my vote too. He’s funny, he’s one of those guys that doesn’t really look like he’s running all that fast but guys can’t catch him. -

Seems like every draft there is an unexpected run on a position where guys go earlier than expected and start flying off the board, that might be wr this year. So I’d be panning to use one of those 2nd rounders on the best one and the other pick on bpa, hopefully from the defensive side. -
WR Diontae Johnson to the Panthers
DeadpoolPanther replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is a pretty slick trade tbh. He’s got #1 potential but I’d still draft a wr early. Not worried about any unhappy talk, there were a lot of unhappy Steelers last year all the way up to the head coach.
