Watching Rashawn Slater be great makes me sad and angry.

Drafting OL high in the draft helps protect QBs? Golly, whoda thunk it? -
Darnold might be the next one out the door
tiger7_88 replied to Matthias's topic in Carolina Panthers
This team extended Darnold and Anderson prior to the season too. Darnold is an $18M dead-money hit as a post-June 1 cut in 2022. Anderson is an $11M dead money hit, post-June 1 in 2022. I thought Hurn-Dawg had left the Panthers organization? -
Very Discouraged By Rhule and His Comments After the Game

In the NFL of the 2020's, if you are crippled because you are missing your RUNNING BACK? Well... you're doing something wrong. -
Very Discouraged By Rhule and His Comments After the Game

I mean, every damn rule passed in the last 20 years is the NFL trying to get teams to pass the ball and score more. They are trying to HELP teams that can throw the ball successfully. Now for those wanting to leap to the conclusion that what I am saying is that teams should *only* pass, then just please rethink that conclusion made by your simple mind. I'm not. Being able to run the ball is certainly important. It slows the pass rush. It makes your play calling less predictable. But that doesn't put the lie to the fact that, with todays rules and with proper roster management, the overall environment of the NFL is friendlier to THROW THE DAMN BALL than to RUN IT DOWN THEIR GUT. If the latter above is still what you truly believe, then you are part of the damn problem. -
Matt Rhule just showed us his true colors.

An OC with no inclination or ability to adjust. A HC that plays not to lose. That sounds hauntingly familiar. -
McCaffrey says Thursday night game contributed to injury

The NFLPA signed off on Thursday night games many years ago, right? -
That’s what lesser-coaches do… they abuse and burn-out elite talent to cover for their inadequacies. Instead of taking lesser talent and making it better.

Gonna love seeing what is apparent when the *real* season starts. Gonna laugh and laugh and laugh.

REPORT: No movement in Panthers’ talks w/ Taylor Moton
tiger7_88 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Its not a curse or bad luck. Yeah, that easy answer might make you feel better, but it’s not that. It’s ownership/management/coaching (in that order… though, to be fair, the first 2 years of the Rhule Regime he’s pretty much been the GM as well as HC). -

And yet, even with the Hurndawg holding the reins of ruin for another organization, THIS organization is doing whatever it can to save present day nickels because they fear paying future $$$ to their young talent and anchors. Except for a running back, of course. Because as we all know, having the best and top paid running back in the league is the key to present-day NFL success. But for sure, Carolina management, make sure you lock down your RUNNING BACKS to long-term, top dollar contracts and not your top young performers on OL! -
No players planning to opt out of 2021 season? (msn.com)

It’s all about the Benjamins, even to the players who purport to promote “social justice”. If you disagree, you are a native chikd. -
Well, from my experience, the trend is: * Stay at Carolina until the organization sucks you dry, uses you until you are a dry husk, and the fans throw you under their red-neck bus, or * Leave It’s a pretty dang easy choice as to which you would recommend to a player whose interest you are in favor of.

Tepper says "no way in hell" he'll build a dome

I mean, he gets to stay in HIS perfectly climate-controlled super-premium billionaire box, right? So s’all good! ”No sir! We need that oppressing southern humidity and thunderstorms! That’s TRADITION! That’s FOOTBALL! [Aside to his harem: “Could you wave that feather fan a little harder, dear? And, oh, the pinot needs to be placed in some fresh ice!”] -
Ron "learning from his mistakes" in Carolina

And yet, with two or three years as exceptions, his defenses in Carolina as a head coach were dead average or worse. -

HELL YEAH PANTHERS GONNA DOMINATE THE NFL WITH 6TH ROUND OL! ZOD IS GENISU!

Its amazing how often things work out for people who actually know what they're doing, ain't it?
-
Well I hope you don't include me in that group. I'm Cam's #1 fan for sure, but I'm also a fan of Mac Jones and its pretty damned obvious, after the Panthers organization ran repeated steam-rollers over Newton's body year after year after year to save MoRon's job, that he's no longer a long-term answer for anybody. So laugh it up, Chuck. Billy B just got another franchise QB and Carolina has Sam Darnold.

Round 1 - Carolina Panthers Select CB Jaycee Horn

Billionaires who own NFL teams don't have leashes. Now Rhule and his crew? Yeah, their leashes might start to tighten. I won't say the GM cuz I think Rhule runs this show (as well as the GM being brand new.)
