The Brett Kollman curse will strike us now. -
My analysis of C.J. Henderson and body language.
Ivan The Awesome replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Um, I was just replying to the comment 4corners makes, I don't think he was associating the behavior to Henderson and lying about anything. My reply was in general, not to the topic about henderson. -
My analysis of C.J. Henderson and body language.

if they scratch themselves in any body part (not the nuts for guys tho, you know if you know), usually that is a sign. For example if they do a small scratch nose scratch before answering. Not necessarily when replying or breaking eye contact. -
My analysis of C.J. Henderson and body language.
Ivan The Awesome replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Thanks. It was my assignment for the week, I could see any video on YT involving an interview depicting body language and report about it, as long as it was 5 minutes long. My report is more in-depth but I thought I'd share some of the key findings about C.J. and his body language and tone during an interview. Like most said here, seems pretty boring but if you analyze it, you can find some hidden wrinkles in there. -
I'm taking a look at this interview for personal use and for school. I am currently in school for linguistics emphasized particularly in English. I have this class that is basically about psychology and body language. Unbeknownst to me, apparently, you require a lot of Psychology for my career. lol anyway... At first glance, C.J. is a very soft spoken individual, from videos I have researched on YT, the consensus is basically that his personality lends to the narrative of him being a bit of an introvert. From the beginning he tends to bit his lower lip a lot during a questions. This could be that his thought process and response would be to the point, I notice that his answers are also very concise and he doesn't end each answer in an open ended type of way. So reporters, I would guess, don't ask more than what he's answered. Also means he's nervous, duh right? In the second question, don't remember who the reporter was, he was asked about being brought in and how he felt about it. The reporter kind of leaned into it and guided him to use the term "fresh new start", cliché, I know but his answer was interesting. I want you to notice his movement and facial expression as well. This is the most movement I saw in his facial expression. He seems serious throughout the whole interview but you can notice a small shift in his tone of voice and expression and movement when he answers. His answer- "Um for me, i just feel like it's a fresh new start, for me. Just to start over and get things back on track. Just to get things rolling again." It's not a lot, what he says, he was lead into this response but the key parts here for me are the second part of that sentence. "Just to start over AND get things back on track." That part right there, with the stuff I researched online about him and the Jags, just leads me to believe that the Brass down there didn't really believe in him and want him. The reasons are up in the air but the sentiment was there. C.J clearly wants to put this behind him and move forward. The following question by the reporter was a nice little truth nugget. Reporter asks if there is anything he'd like to show in this new destination. He replies with an answer that at first really does respond to the question and the rest was kind of PR. "Just to show that I'm a talented Cornerback that can cover..(insert PR here.)" with this...well, it doesn't take a genius to know what Urban Meyer and the brass thought of him. The rest of the interview is kind of meh but there is one more part that really stuck out to me and I'm gonna share it with yawl. I did get a chuckle at David Newton's questions as always trying to stir stuff up, but Herderson smile and chuckle at the mention of him basically waking up from an 0-3 team to a 3-0 team just tells you that he's very glad to be here. A little later on he was asked about Matt Rhule and how he feels about this or that. His responses sometimes he leans back and does sudden movements, positive ones, that indicate the obvious, the one part that stuck out to me and it was his wording and I personally like the word he used when talking about this coaching staff was that it was very Player oriented and the word "belief", "believes in me" were used a lot. Finally the last part, Evan cooper. When he talked about him and I believe the huge catalyst about this whole transaction..history. He again makes small movements, adjusts himself and speaks about the history between them. " He's been trying to recruit me since high school.." , "...so I am excited to have a coach that believes in me and really believe in my talents." That's pretty much the end of the interview but the mind boggling thing to me was that the coaching staff in some cases have a deep history with players and players remember that. All it takes is to find someone that believes in you in order for you to tap and show your full potential. Case in point we're seeing this with Darnold. Again, there were ties from the days when Rhule was going to be the Jets new head coach, he kept tabs there, so did Brady. ..anyway thanks for taking the time to read most of this if you made it this far. I have a good feeling about C.J. turning it around. Not sure about Immediate impact but we'll have a really really good tandem of CB's for the future.

Kurt Warner on Sam & the Defense (Study Ball)
Ivan The Awesome replied to mbarbour21's topic in Carolina Panthers
"...because he's definitive, and knows what he's looking at and gets chunk plays." Just a few descriptive words that make me smile because, while seeing this live you don't' see it, but after the fact you can see the growth of him and how from week to week he's been developing and becoming more comfortable with the offense and what he sees on the field. Once he gets to 100%, it's gonna be over, I think he will not play the game to not lose it but to win it. The defense is giving him a lot of confidence as well because he must know that they are going to be complimentary to him and give him every opportunity they can for him to further progress. If he messes up, he knows he has to get amnesia and get ready for the time this Defense gives him that ball back to win that game. I honestly can't wait to for the cowboys game and for them to win and see what else these pundits have to say.- 10 replies

Can he play in the O-line?
-
I was gonna start a thread about this but since you have this one I'll just post this Jag fans take on it.
-
Honestly think he wasn't given enough time but well... They needed to address the CB position I suppose. He was great in his time here. Wish him nothing but the best.

Cowboys won big tonight, means they are going to poo the bed with us.

FYI Panthers still have 5 draft picks next year
Ivan The Awesome replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
As long as he does not deal that #1 pick we good. -
But yeah let's give excuses about "plug and play" not being O lines characteristics and how Fitt isn't doing much to resolve these issues.

Panthers were in trade talks for CJ even before Horn was injured
Ivan The Awesome replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
- “This is in no way going to impact Donte [Jackson]’s contract.” Uh..I'm pretty sure this will give the Panthers Leverage. -
What? Every single line men is plug and play. Even in drafts they say this...like...don't make excuses about not being plug and play.
-
Tell me where this "movement" helped get that O-line get to a serviceable state? I'm not even asking top 10. Hell Top15.
-
Don't get me wrong, I love Fitt but damn if this isn't the truth.

Offensive Tackle Abuse By Haason Reddick
Ivan The Awesome replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
Isn't there a thread about giving up a #1 draft pick for Tunsil? Show him this tape...THIS is why it's a bad Idea... -
Great playbook, but sometimes he's got some bonehead play calls. The overuse of CMC concerns the fug out of me.
-
The Panthers need to bring in a RB that is opposite of CMC. 6'2 240+ pounds battering ram. You have to think about it, CMC runs between the tackles AND catches the ball, he's getting hit on every single touch. He's gonna wear down. I know Brady is smart but for the life of me I do not understand why he can't design plays that use CMC as a Decoy, use his presence as a threat to your advantage, I've seen them use maybe one or two times. But if you lean so much on CMC you become so one dimensional and as we saw this Offense Stutters so badly when CMC is NOT in there. Yes use CMC but don't make the same mistake that Ron did with Cam, you're going to run him to the ground and he's gonna be an afterthought that you're going to have to pay anyway while he's in the sideline.
