Yes he's 32 but he's been a Franchise QB. You know what you have with Stafford. He's definitely worth a first. I'd say give them next years first and keep this years and draft a T or playmaker in the D and build around that.

I always get a kick out of the post that say "we won't get (insert player name) at 8." Its like all the players will be drafted by the time we pick. lol

They did it every time with Rivera, Ironically they did it TO Rivera this time around. They got a decision to make now, roll with Asswater one more year, or trade for a QB or Draft one. That simple.

Having a clean pocket doesn't mean he has wide open receivers, you could have a clean pocket and have your receivers blanketed really well. This graphic doesn't really tell the full story in my opinion.

Watson would take multiple 1sts. Stafford would more than likely take one 1st rounder. Or if they play their cards right, a player and a second. Either way Stafford is only 32 and he could potentially play till his in his late 30's. He'd instantly upgrade this offense. It wouldn't break the bank and even if it's just one 1st rounder that's not bad because you know what you get for Stafford and he'd easily play at least 5 years. You already have a good core of players, build around him and compete. I like that at least we know that Fitterer and the brass will be in this conversation. Exploring every avenue to become a better football team.

Fit got on the phone and the Texans wanna deal. Obviously a couple of first rounders (or whatever the case is with the picks) and one of these players...who's packing their bags and going to Houston? This is for speculation, nothing serious, so don't get your panties in a wad.

I am willing to say he would be a better QB than Asswater for sure. Adding him to this offense would definitely be a huge upgrade. He's on the right side of 30 (32, I believe), and he could potentially be here for at least 8 more years. Minimum 5. I am not sure about the semantics of the trade but I certainly believe he would be cheaper to acquire, both assets and monetarily speaking. On paper, depending on what the Lions want, Player or pick(s), you won't have to mortgage the future for Stafford and still get a decent QB. I want Watson but if Stafford is available for a lower premium, you definitely consider him as a 1-B type of situation.

You don't need to say you don't want watson, saying you're not willing to get rid of CMC says it all.

I look at Seattle and how they've been in the draft in the past ten years...I get excited to know we have someone who knows wtf they are doing. Looking forward to draft night to be totally honest.

RB's come and go, it's a constant. Franchise QB's like Watson do not. Stop thinking that this team would suffer if they traded CMC. Davis did an amazing job, this offense can run with any RB especially with Watson at the helm. I rather have Watson and X RB next year than Bridgewater/X-QB and CMC. It's a no brainer if they decide to trade for Watson. CMC-YA!
